Why people think Haren is a superstar?

Magic, Clyde, D. Wilkins, Stockton, V. Carter, T, McGrady, M. Richmond and a host of others were not elite or good defenders. But they were called Superstars

 

Seriously, OP pointed out the truth. But some Harden fans cannot take it.

A Player that scoring 30 pts (beautiful stats), but he plays no defense and let opponent scoring 25 pts is pretty useless in a team. Plus he had high turnover rate.

 

Comparing something as tirival as fan talk to the Kristallnacht is simply disgusting.

Fans of only certain players have other agendas than fans of teams - and some worry much more about their player than about the team. So it is perfectly fine to point out, that someone is clearly only a fan of a certain player and puts him over the team just for the cause of discussion.

This is no holocaust, and any comparison is truly disgusting and in my oppinion ban worthy.

 

Because they couldn't match the Rockets offer.

 

If you only consider Lebron and Durant superstars

and Kobe of old.......

 

Go do some research and you will find that a lot os Superstars turn the ball over at a high rate. Every Superstar dont play good defense either.

Haren is not even average on defense. Amongst the league's worst defenders.

I would say Harden is a flawed superstar, he is statistics guys' favorite, cozs his offense data is very efficient (3pt layup fts), advance data such as efg/true shooting didn't fact in TOs. However, Harden doesn't really have a mid-range game, in clutch time, you are not gonna get layup and refs are unlikely blow whistle.

 

Durant, D Will and Melo are all horrific defenders. But Harden is by far the worst.

 

man I am not posting no video to validate my point. Durant went to the Championship didnt he not and he is a terrible defensive player.

I don't think Harden is a bad defensive player when He willing to do it. The main point here is he's not doing defense. He just stand there and ball watching. No matter how good our 4 other players did on defense, the other team can just call a play and score behind James Harden.

I understand hes a great player but hes a one way player dude just doesnt play any d so how can he be considered a superstar if he cant defend

 

I know this tomato123. It's called taking plays off on the defensive end. Tracy use to do it all the times. Melo and Durant take plays off on the defensive ends as well.

Now that is one play what other game/s did you see him do this pimpn.

 

He played solid defense in OKC. He plays defense when he wants to here.

 

Now post a vid showing him blocking Wesley Johnson 3 point attempt.

 

Durant is by no means a horrific defender. In fact, i would say he is average at worst.

If you think DWill and Melo are superstars, then your definition of a superstar is entirely flawed. There are only a handful of superstars (about 5) in the league and Haren is no where close to being amongst those 5 superstars

 

In all fairness, Harden is an allstar and offensive superstar. At this point, he and DWH are one way superstars and we may never win a ring unless our role players step up big.

Harden can still improve, but don't bet your money on it.
