Because Jeremy Lin sets him up. Lin sets everyone up. And as much as I sometimes like the Bev/Lin/Harden backcourt I don't want to see more than 5 minutes of the trios together. Either go Bev/Lin or Bev/Harden and throw in Garcia or Casspi.
To be fair, that's not the role that management is asking him to play. As a compliment to Harden, Bev's doing a decent job. He should just focus on defense and open shots.
Bev is a defensive specialist and does not (yet) play like a starting PG. Part of his transition into a bigger role is going to be learning to take a step back and take it easy sometimes. As long as he plays such aggressive D he's going to have nights were he is in foul trouble (i.e. the last two games where he played 30+ minutes). McHale is going to have to find the right balance of minutes to allow him to be aggressive and not have to worry about him fouling out of games. Whether McHale is a good enough coach to do that is another debate.
no matter how good Bev can defense, team defense still fail if one of them not participate. Bev cannot guard both opposite PG and SG all together.
No, Bev and Lin play great together. The guards play well together and play well with Harden when Harden is moving the ball and trusting the other guards. But since Bev and Lin trust each other, they play well together. And both make good effort on defense.
Not sure, but I think its sarcasm because McFaile does not know anything about how to run a team.... You obviously are not taking his comment seriously...or your an idiot
The only issue I see with Beverly is that he is an defensive Aaron Brooks. Neither can actually play point guard. Harden with his borderline bad shot selection is not fit to play full time PG when Beverly is in.
