Why not just paint the jersey with retro colors. I'm sure you can find someone who has the paint skillzz.
These are our colors! If you want to slightly change the shade of gold or "mustard" then go ahead but these are our colors. Spice up the lettering put a Rocket flying around the old logo, use the new Rocket R that is on the caps, whatever. Give it back!
If the rockets wear last years unis, then i will switch teams. You might as well give the rockets clown noses and start walking around in clown shoes. I personally would like a little updated version of the 93-94 rocket jerseys. i love that gold and red.
but when people look at the "red and gold" they dont really pay attention to the white. The gold sticks out more then the white. Its like the red and gold complament each other better then the white and red. Or maybe its just the unique combo of the 3 that makes it awesome. I think we could live with white without the red but certainly not the gold with out the red. I love the "RED AND GOLD"
also i'd rather see the rockets wear Mcdonalds jerseys rather then wear the old jerseys. this yrs jerseys are also cursed, so we are in desperate need of new jerseys
They were selling Nike ones at Champs for about $70. I missed the boat, however, as Champs told me they were all sold out. They did say that they would be getting in Yao retros, but they didn't know when. I ordered the retro Francis from Reebok for $50. Not as good as the Nikes, but still retro cool. I canb't check now as I've got to run, but mine was $45 plus shipping and handling....about $50 in all. I got it last week. I'll look later.

How can you NOT pay attention to the white when the home unis were mostly white!? Are you blind? Most of the "Gold" came from the hideous logo. Not the unis. The TWO combo colors are based on the BACKGROUND color and the LETTER color. Not ACCENT or Logo! Look at all the other teams around the league that celebrate their classic colors. Celtics = White/Green. Lakers = Purple/Gold. Spurs = Black/White. Pistons = Red/Blue. Mavs = Blue/White. Soncis = Green/Gold. Pacers = Gold/Blue. They chose TWO COLORS as their MAIN colors. NOT THREE! The Rockets NEVER wore gold unis or had gold letters. It was the logo you are thinking about or the tiny stripe accent. What I'm saying is that the BACKGROUND/LETTER color dicates the combo. And they change places for home vs road. Why do we want to re-create the "rainbow bright" tripple colors like the old Astro Unis? That's why the using Red/Gold/White combo is not wise. It's busy and tacky. I say, stay with Red (road) and White (home). Thus, our combo colors are Red and White. Those where the MAIN colors. Not Gold. It was an accent. Leave out the gold. Else we return to tacky. I'll never understand H-Towns love affair with Orange and Yellow. Yuk! Astro "rainbow" orange, yellow, red... Rocket "mustard" Southwest Airlines (orange)... Only the Southwest Airlines orange will survive. Ha!
yeah. i think going back to classic colors with a streak of black in there would look pretty good. no more cutting edge. seeing francis in old school unis is simply money.
