Give it more time or give the Houston Rockets more time. Give it more time or give the Houston Rockets more time. The twin tower is just a surface question, the deeper one is about our ball-handler, our passer, or in a familiar word, about team chemistry. In these four games, only a few good pass to the low area were made, and it is not enough. Both Dwight and Asik cannot make offense opportunity by themselves, and it seems like Rockets' guards still have no idea how to pass the damn ball to the low area. Let the two long men be the huge threaten in the low area, and don't fear the lose.
Not sure if posted elsewhere: Truehoop TV Live 11/7/13 talks about Rockets, trading Asik, how putrid TT has been on offense, McHale and our perimeter defense. Starts around 18:15.
I would like to see the TT one more time with Garcia starting ahead of Parsons. For the TT offense to work, we need good spot up shooters and good perimeter defenders. Parsons used to be a good spot up shooter, but has been shooting poorly lately. However, the most disturbing thing is he has stopped shooting all together in favor of pump-fake and drive. Garcia is also a much better perimeter defender than Parsons. He has the vet experience to know when to help on defense. Parsons is constantly making mistakes on over helping or not switching on a screen. Watch the first Clippers game. Although, Reddick was Hardens man to start, Parsons was soon switched over to guard Reddick and kept getting lost.
One funky lineup I'd like to see with TT is Harden, Cisco and Parsons. Why not just go really ****ing big at every position with guys who can also stretch the floor? Alot of size and length everywhere. I'm assuming Parsons' 3pt% will return to last year's rate. Eithey way, I think they need to stick with TT until Asik is traded. Everyone knows Asik can play C, and the Rockets want TT to work in case they don't trade him. So they need to play 20 games with it to give it time. Also, they haven't had enough time with Bev, Harden, Parsons, and TT, which is clearly the lineup they envision working out.
My heart says bench Asik but my mind says we are 4-2 and we ought to give it at the very least 10 total games. I would normally say 20 but the evidence is mounting against the TT.
Your mind is wrong. Our lineups with Asik and Howard are the worst with -12.3 and -24 point differentials.
Twin towers ain't working. We should use our own Arabian prince to blow 'em up. By blowing it up, I mean inserting Casspi into the starting lineup.
Your evidence is completely factual. I'm just saying, let's see if it improves at all. They barely had any preseason together and if they could work out the kinks it could pay off down the line.
Voted "give it more time". That does not mean we should force the issue by starting them both. I want to see the Twin Towers in spurts and as a situational lineup. And Howard should be benched every 4th quarter from the 5 minute to 2 minute mark.
The more games we play, the worse it looks. It's only been 6 games, but we should hang it up soon. We are night and day when Twin Towers are on the floor vs off.
Cost us the game tonight, as it has in every loss. We aren't even giving ourselves a chance against good teams.
I really want to see the coach try a different lineup. I really want to see Jones, Smith, or DMo get a chance. I mean they were with the team last season and played. It's not like they are not familiar with the team. I also am not huge fan of the twin towers in at the same time for some reason. There doesn't seem to be enough movement with two centers who can't stretch the floor on offense because they can't shoot.
you cant really blame TT tonight when Rockets had an 11 point lead when the TT was done in the middle of the 3rd qtr. the run came when half of the TT was on the bench.
Another start with the Rockets down 10 You cant afford that against the Clippers. Thankfully Coach McHale ended the bleeding quicker then usual I think and then the team went on that nice run, as it always does. They can't pull the plug on this failed TT lineup soon enough
I'm scared that he will start them together against the raptors and 6ers, because we can win on pure talent and that might give him incentive to continue to start them even longer. He's making it harder than it needs to be, everyone is miserable turning on each other.

This is a serious issue: Whoever is responsible for Twin Towers is seriously duping fans and everyone. Before the season McHale and others were stating (Quotation) they were out for experiments and now Twin Towers is a main component in the starting lineup! Seriously? They are not even making using a regular PF. What are their thoughts? Did they go braindead all of a sudden or is it a some smart plan by Morey to make a deal? They gloriously cut Camby though there is no insurance if Asik goes out or traded. Other than Greg Smith and inexperienced Moti.
