i think thread titles like this come from having a day off between games with nothing much to talk about and instead staying quiet crazyness appears. hopefully after the game tonight there will be much better topics than this one...

Howard is new to this team and should be a veteran. He is inconsistent as well. So I give him one year.
Every player should be held accountable and especially the best players.

If you watched the games again, we lost mainly because of 3 point shooters against Lakers and Clippers, shooting.

I'd rather him stay here because ....SHOCKER.... her actually is contributing to the team winning. Since I am a fan of the Rockets I could give two ****s about seeing Lin fans suffer or Lin fans removed from the BBS. The state of the BBS is less important to me than the success of the Rockets. You don't think I would love to see posters like you removed? Because I know if Lin was traded you would not post here anymore because our sole purpose here is to antagonize fans of Lin.

People here don't know basketball, I know people will get upset but actually when both of them had the green light LIN was the better player, Knicks Lin scored, had more assist, a unselfish player that got his teammates to play better and win games. Had bench players (First real season)

Harden has green light in Houston (way more experience, better players to play with HOWARD vs chandler, & as of now does not her his teammates in the game as much they don't feed off him. He best SG in league he scores a lot of points but that's does not win a championship or got to wcf.

so if we talking about who is the best when they have the GREEN LIGHT I think one will be the best player on the team

We lost the Lakers and Clippers game because Jeremy "The Joke" Lin was holding back James Harden thus causing him to give a poor defensive performance and allowing the 3 point shooters to light the Rockets up. OP is right.... both Harden and Lin cannot co-exist together.... that's why Jeremy Lin has to go!

You don't know basketball, dude I'm a rockets fans probably been here before you to know that, do u know max , cassel, horry ???? this guys played team ball as underdog they how they got ring... I like harden but he reminds me of melo, look at heat they had the se problems and spo got that team together wade hated him but he didn't give a $$uc they both had to play together after time it worked with lebron... If harden played with pop he would have been traded by now he did what he has done scoring a lot of points is not big to coaches who know what it takes for team to go far. Rudy T didn't let dream have the ball every play even tho he was better player he was good at finding players...

I think harden and Lin can be perfect together harden is best SG in league it just takes a coach like POP to get them playing team ball. Once again u can watch harden pad his stats start in all star game but remember this post if Mchale continues to let him play this brand of basketball and we don't get a new coach rockets are going nowhere

While Harden is currently the better player, the difference in ability is not as wide as some will have you believe. Harden can be a game winner but he can also be a blackhole, even when he's scoring 30+ points a game. If Harden wants to truly be a superstar, he's got to look after the ball better, select shots better (less jacking of 3s with hands in his face) and effort on D. Most Rockets fans have given Harden a free pass last season but more and more are starting to acknowledge he's making poor decisions that hurt the team at crucial moments in games.

Back to OP's post, I do agree one has to go and hopefully for Lin, it's him. While I think he'd be willing to fight for his position on the Rockets line-up, a trade to a more PG-friendly ball club would personally benefit his career greatly. The Rockets would miss him as a consistent scoring source but long-term they'd compensate. I really like Casspi and Parsons could be given more freedom to take up the scoring slack. If Harden and Lin on the same team means team disquiet, then Lin moving on is best for both parties.

I'm waiting on your reply spiegel since you know so much and wanna call me a LOF another thing my friend is a mavs fan he coaches high school bask ball in Dallas he calls rockets open gym street ball. like is said earlier it's nothing against harden he just got the green light when team needed him last year now it's time to get it under control to go far, if DOC, POP came in here with this roster I would say we would be contenders this year

That was trolling. Fan of Lin's would consider the comparison unless they were psychotic.

Please.... no disrespecting the Beard! He chose to leave a title contender and his extremely important Manu Ginobilli role to come to a complete non-contender in order to become a starter and take max money.

James Harden could have been history's best sixth man ever on a championship dynasty team while being the perfect fit next to Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, Thabo Sefolosha and Kendrick Perkins. Instead, he gave up all that to join a team that was in the midst of rebuilding and had no hope of fighting for a 'ship.

That man's a savior!!! REVERE HIM!!!

and I'm a longtime rockets fan it's not only new LOF feel this way, if you know basketball anybody can see it, lebron is best player in NBA but also is a team player that works both sides of the court and gets his teammates involved. At end of game he will turn on the switch like a superstar should but that does not mean dribble out shot clocks then pass to his teammate force them to shoot a bad clock that's not good for the team

You'r friend can coach the Chicago bulls for all I care. To say lin is the more effective basketball player is farsical. Not only is harden a better scorer, he also creates more double teams which means better looks for others. He draws more fouls which means the defense will be less aggressive when defending us and he is just as good as passer as lin.

The fact that you can say this with a straight face shows how delusional some of you YOF/LOF's and just newbie LOF's are.

we need both of them. Harden under control within the offense can still get his points. It took time in purgatory, which felt like 19 years, to finally acquire some talent and peeps want to see them go? that's crazy eses. A little more effort on D and moving the ball and this guy is a top 5 player for sure. Harden within the offense is more efficient. You can't argue with the results.

Lin continues to improve and very underrated by our sofa gms. If jvg and calvin murphy approve, you should too. I love linobli from the bench. One of the reasons? By the time he checks in, harden and Howard have forced the other team to use up their fouls, thus allowing any penetration by lin to get to the line. Right now he is averaging 6 fts per game, that's more than Parker and 8th among pgs. He needs more shots though, around four more get 1.7 pts out of them.
