Can anybody read lips and figure out what Dwight said to Lin after the game?

If anyone is to blame it's Dwight.

The Lakers wanted to pin both Lin and Bev at the top of the paint. Nash held Lin and Gasol picked Bev off, while at the same time both Lakers formed a wall, so even if Lin or Bev dodged them they'd have to go around them and that wouldn't give them time to close out on Blake. Even Dwight's position created a problem, as it just adds to the wall formed, not his fault, but just saying it still creates a problem for Bev.

This is where Dwight comes in. He's got to recognize Blake is loose and his men are pinned and that leaves him with the clearest route to Blake. If you watch him, he's flat footed the whole time and isn't reacting. He doesn't react until Blake turns the corner. Maybe he was expecting a two pt attempt and took his eye off of Blake, but he didn't look ready. Or maybe he was and just assumed someone would get out to Blake. Either way it's something Dwight has to cover because the way everything unfolded he was the only one who could contest Blake on what was sure to be a quick shot attempt.

A lot of it could just be attributed to inexperience though. Chandler was also guarding the inbounder the whole time, when that guy was clearly not interested in doing anything, so Parsons shouldve been more ready to rotate to Pau, if Pau cut to the rim. They all just did a poor job of reading the Lakers. It's not always as clear as "we did what we talked about" or even "we didnt do what we talked about". Sometimes the situation calls for making a judgment call based on what you're seeing.

the story of bullard on rudy t explaining to dream on switching.
    Paraphrasing:
" Why? I'm big man I belong guarding post. " that story and the one about hakeem complaining about little man not giving him the ball always make me chuckle.

point is, if I'm dwight I'd hate to switch on those assignments too but things have to be done. Let's run that play of john starks without hakeem closing out. It might have gone in, the shot.

DH12 maybe wasn't paying attention when mcHale said that. I don't know but I won't take issue with a player trying to get some clarification.

Dwight: "Yo, I heard you Asian right?"
    Lin: "Uhh... yeah I am."
Dwight: "Well, you must be good at math then right? How da fuq does that Pythagoreas thing work?"
Lin: "Oh. Well, you see, you just... (continues to explain the theorem, using arm motions at times)"
Dwight: "Ah shiet serious!? I'm gonna kill dat nikka Shaq!"
(both walk into locker room annoyed)

    JLin7: We're supposed to switch, 1 to 5.
    D12: Right, my bad.
    JLin7: It's OK big fella.

Howard: Maybe I should take our talents to South Beach. I heard they got water and **** down there.
Lin: Hey you got a spot for me in South Beach too?
Howard: Dude I didn't know you speak English.

Source: I sat on the bench next to McHale.

That blown coverage in crunch time was by far the biggest mistake of the game. Blake was wide open for a game winning three. That's how players get cut.

Lin's like Tebow. You want to root for the guy, they just lack substance and don't belong on championship caliber teams. He needs to be in a lesser franchise where a gimmick is more likely to be accepted.

Tebow has been on two national championship teams and is a proven winner

I think Lin could do the same

Gimme a break with this stuff. The Rockets championship lineup featured:
-a shooting guard who threw a barbell at a teammate
-a small forward who got the TV color commentator's daughter pregnant
-a superstar center who 'faked an injury' and demanded a trade the previous year

But here we are trying to read someone's lips to make sure everyone is talking nice to each other?

That's a terrible comparison. Tebow had a winning streak that was him sucking and getting REALLY lucky and a lot of help from his teammates. There's a reason he's not in the nfl right now. He can't do what a qb is supposed to do: throw.

Jeremy Lin has shown that he can dribble, pass, shoot, defend. He can do everything an NBA pg is expected to do.

One guy got really lucky and got a lot of help and will probably be leading church services for a living soon.

One guy doesn't look the part but has all the tools and will be employed in the NBA for probably the next 10 yrs.

Wow that #new age hashtag sure is fitting. We got a bunch of new age type fans. Lately, when I read a thread, I swear 2 new white hairs pop out.

I actually agree with how its probably a positive loss, serious defensive and offensive issues have been happening on court, but that gets covered with the, 'but we won' excuse. Better that they fail early and learn and grow from it than have these same issues in feb only unaddressed because the team has been winning.

They were switching 1-5, including D12, you don't cut D12.
    Lin: I'll always have haters.

    There are always reasons.
