We don't need miller , odom, Brand. All we need is back up point guard who has a pass first mentality with a cheap price.

It's imperative we get a backup guard either at the 1 or the 2.

The problem is we have a 3 guard rotation and 1 of the guards is Moochie.

Moochie shouldnt be playing at all.

Possible solutions include Darrell Armstrong and Lucious Harris - both veterans who could really help this team at a reasonable price and provide some leadership.

Other than that, getting an awesome PF for a Eddie Griffin/Cat/Draft choice combo would be ideal.

Whether that happens remains to be seen.

And if we could get an Andre Miller cheap, Id do that as well.

actually, i have some insider info for you, gregonomics...

this off-season, the rockets are looking forward to signing a deal with STOP POSTING of the STOP POSTING IMMEDIATELY team.

see how much of a thrill it is reading pointless & meaningless posts?

I think Maddox can be that backup PG that we need he is a great passer, with a good court sense.

I really think that Rudy was hoping that he would eventually develop into a starting PG and allow us to move Steve to the 2.

Okay.

Main targets.

THAT I WANT.

First...we already have a good team.
Francis...our point guard. All star running the offense.
Mobley...a great defender if he wants to be and would be a good shooter if he accepts his role.
Posey...a hustler who runs around crazy after all balls and is very exciting. Has some big steals. Has a nice niche. If he improves his outside shooting...he would perfectly fit us.
Griffin...well just useless. He just gets rebounds. Since he doesn't seem to be improving, he should at least get stronger and work on his footwork. He can focus all his attention on defense.
Yao...our post man. And he has to play defense too...how tiring.

What we need are shooters, hustlers/rebounders, and point guards.

Now we don't have any money. We are poor.We can only get players for the midlevel exception.

This would include...
Eric Piatkowski, Jon Barry, Tyronn Lue, Rafer Alston, Eduardo Najera, Kenny Anderson, Rod Strickland, Eric Strickland, Voshon Lenard, Rasho Nesterovic, Tyrone Hill, Darvin Ham, Mike Wilks, Roger Mason, Carlos Boozer, Walt Williams, Popeye Jones, Juwan Howard, Shammond Williams, Earl Boykins, Jonathan Bender, Jeff Foster, Eddie House, Travis Best, Kendall Gill, Gary Trent, Michael Doleac, Robert Traylor, Randy Brown Scott Williams, Jim Jackson, Damon Jones, Speedy Claxton, Mengke Bateer, Steve Smith, Charles Oakley, Calbert Cheaney....That's all we can afford.

My favorites would be Eric Piatkowski, Jon Barry, Tyronn Lue, Rafer Alston, Eduardo Najera, Kenny Anderson, Juwan Howard, Earl Boykins, Travis Best, Jim Jackson, Speedy Claxton, Steve Smith, Charles Oakley, and Calbert Cheaney.

I think we should go after one of those players.

LUCIOUS HARRIS AND DARRELL ARMSTRONG WOULD BE VERY NICE. They are better than all the ones I listed above...therefore, they make more money. They will want more than the MLE. Unless somehow...Darrell Armstrong wants to come here for less...that would be great. LOVELY. I want him.

I would also like to somehow get Pau Gasol and Wesley Person or Jason Williams and Shane Battier. Give them Mobley and Griffin or Rice and a 1st round draft pick. Jason Williams and Steve Francis. Yao Ming and Pau Gasol. Great. You never know...Memphis does some crazy stuff.

We should keep Posey as well.

Why don't you just get NBA League Pass and watch all the Grizzley games instead of the Rockets?

Rice for Redd and a Centre? Rice wouldn't get you a 2nd rounder, and you think Milwaukee would give up a 24 year old player they see replacing Ray Allen, and who is so far showing he is capable of doing so? Rice is very close to being finished (age 36); he is useless in every aspect of the game, which doesn't including shooting jumpers, which -furthermore- is on the decline as well. If the Rockets want Redd, the package would at least include Griffin.

Rice and Griffin for Shareef and Mohammed is also not realistic in any realm of possibility. What Houston would be giving up wouldn't even land Shareef. The only thing, which gives Rice trade value, is his contract, and NBA experience. Griffin is indeed valuable to an extent, but still is no where enough to land you a star player in Shareef, and a solid young centre in Mohammed, who has been seen -just like Griffin- to hold talent, which could make him a star in this league. To land these two ATL players, you'd be looking at Mobley and Griffin, plus a low-mid pick.

pasox2, you need to rework these deals, from the base-up; because -sorry to say- they are very laughable.

I think if I were CD I would have to believe that my main focus would be to get rid of Moochie "I cant stop dribbling" Norris.

I would like to agree with you about Maddox, however Iam not sure that I can, but simply because we didnt see enough of him this year.

I think with someone like Bobby Jackson, does anyone know the where abouts of like Rod Strickland. I will probably get "bashed" for that statment, however, he is a vetern, a hero of young Steve, and he is a playmaker, and if I remember he isnt a horrible shooter either. Just some food for thought.

The only thing that I know is Iam tired of seeing Moochie Norris get 3 or 4 24 second violations or 6 or 7 close calls every game.

Lets sign a petion :) NO FOR NORRIS!

Dada, you need to understand the value of an expiring contract. Atlanta and Milwaukee were both crippled by oversize contracts and needo shed to rebuild. Both were recently looking to dump. Both would be interested in Rice's expiring contract. There are other teams also in this situation.

Rox will target Brand, Redd or Payton, Spree, Kwame.

Rox will target Mooch and MoT for out of here, probably sweetening with Rice and/or Mobley and/or Cato and/or Griffin.

Bankshot on it.
