Lin should start over Beverly... Mchale just doesn't see that ... He is just fortunate to be in this position... Not a good coach at all...

Yeah they were supposed to switch, but I think switching on an inbounds play is a lot harder to tell than switching on a pick and roll in the flow of the game. I don't think Beverley realized Lin was getting picked off. At that point Lin has to yell out "SWITCH" to Bev.

Jordnnnn, I see you trying to be fair but frustrated at the LOFs out there but there are a couple of mistakes logically, imo, in your arguments in this thread and that is
    1) if Bev and the rest of the starters played even halfway decent, Lin would only be sniffing around 29 mins to spell them, it's just that a lot if the players have been playing poorly and Lin's been playing very well. That is the only reason Lin got barely 30 mins if that these few games. Ideally, it seems imo, McHale would rather play Bev over Lin against any opponent as he just likes Bevs game and doesn't like Lin's game. Sampson is to blame as well. It is evidenced by the offensive defensive switches they made last year when TD was here. When Bev started doing okay, Lin basically just sat during crunch time unless he was playing great. Even then it was a 50/50 proposition.
    2) I don't know if you noticed but clearly Lin is not playing the pg position anymore but playing the sg position contrary to how he typically has played throughout his career and that indicates that Mac prefers Lin not to play his pg game thereby "dominating" the ball or going turnover crazy as in a lot possessions especially on the break for crying out loud players look Lin away whereas if the coaches made any comment about giving our pg the ball they would be giving it up to him. I lev coached and all of us here who have coached (Voice of Aus, etc.) will tell you that the players get conditioned by the coach to play the way we want and give the ball to who we want over time. Our players seem conditioned to not want Jeremy to control the ball but rather want to make their own plays (Parsons, etc) and I'm telling you it's the coaches wishes there to make Parsons the third guy and Bev the fourth guy and relegate Lin to a bench spark limited role. It's clear as day.
    3) not apropos to the conversation but LOFs who dog Bev or Parsons or Harden harshly and unfairly can go suck it. They do not represent the majority of us who like Lin's game and advocate his style of playing because we think it'll mean more wins for us not just to prop Lin up no matter the results for the Rockets.

McHale just isn't seeing it. Really, it's justva matter of playing with intensity and not something to do with the TTs or with our true pg playing off the bench as a spark off the bench scorer????? Come on. Lin needs to be our floor general and our starter. It's clear as day~ smh

Lin's injury should keep him from starting this game for sure. Don't really expect him to start until after the AS break.

Harden's injury won't keep him out of the lineup of course, though hopefully he doesn't aggravate the foot.

    You're right. It's Lin's fault.

Great. Just what we need, injuries to our only two playmakers... And hell no, I don't count Parson's Pumpfake as playmaking ability!!!

Subjectively McHale likes Bev much more than Lin, it's fine. But objectively, it's not good for the offense of the first unit, not fine.

    Yes!!

Time to put on the arm sleeve and go beast mode, Lin.

I think that's true during the regular flow of the game like you mentioned. But they had a time out and they knew that they would be switching so whether or not Lin yelled it or not isn't relevant (though he was definitely yelling to Bev when he got picked off). At the end of the day, both Bev and Dwight went in knowing to look for the switch but both seemed unaware that it was happening b/c they reacted so late. Bev is looking directly at Nash and can see Blake run to the side all alone. Dwight is watching all this happen too and not moving until it's too late. Both guys should've been anticipating the switch.

Instead of keep blaming Lin on one particular play, why don't you consider:

1)Why Beverley starts created a super slow start?
2)Why Beverley starts made Harden in iso mode?
3)Why Harden lazy on his defense?
4)Why Howard can't made FT under pressure?
5)Why Beverley shot 1/10 when he starts?
6)Why Harden ignore Lin's call the play and walked away?
7)Why people blame on a backup point guard?

It has more to do with how ineffective TT is.

Seriously we need to find a new coach 'cause Mc Hell has no clue how to handle the team...

You are being oversensitive. Noone's blaming Lin right now, though, they probably want to or have an urge to, lol. They just don't like Lin as a starting pg for this team. It's their opinion, let them enjoy it. And I have questions for Lin as well though some may be out of his hands.

    1) Why defer so much if he believes his style is the answer? Just tell Harden off and McHale if it takes and play his game, thereby putting his money where his mouth is. It's his right as a pg (though he's not the starting pg now and actually this may be why he isn't a starter, lol.) Leadership is a prerequisite for a point guard as well. And so I also blame McHale for undermining that.
    2) Why doesn't he play like a pg any more but rather like a sg when along with Bev?
    3) Why does he still pass up some open 3s when he's worked on it all summer and seems to have improved on it more than could be expected. Be proud of your shot and stop passing up on shots unless you really aren't feeling it.
    4) Why is he so weak at free throws compared to the rest of his shooting stats. Maybe he should work on that as well next summer.

Lin has clearly demonstrated that he is indeed talented and that he can improve unlike so many other players who only improve incrementally. I'm also convinced that Linsanity was not a fluke by any means and that were he to have the confidence of his coaches he can reproduce it. I despise all the naysayers who so easily dismiss someone's accomplishments without sufficient evidence to the contrary. I hope that Lin will get to contribute even more to the Rocket's success on the bench or not.

We aren't going anywhere with this coach. JLin and Bev. aren't the problems. The elephant in the room is McHale. He should go and be a big-man coach, that's probably a truer calling than being a head coach of a team.

I think it's Lin's fault, just send him to the bench. Opps, too bad. He is glued to the bench now.
    So can we fire him?

no, haters stick with him until he got traded.
meanwhile, he's counting his money and said "did a dump team gave me 8 millions to glued my butt to the bench for playing few minutes each game?"
    :p

Funny how everybody is Bev vs Lin nowadays when it seems like those two are the only two that have any team chemistry left on the team. Last season's fun and energy has turned to finger pointing and feet dragging.
