I was wondering if yall thinking of moving stevie to two guard, a position he cant even play, why wont we trade Francis for somone Better than we get if we trade mobley. and move Mobley to PG, he could play it good he is only 6'4 6'5 and he shot is better than francis shot, at least let him try it lets see how he do.

    Lets trade

    Francis
    Moochie
    Eddie

    for

an all star SG and a back up PG and maybe a first round pick
tell me who would want Steve, Eddie, Mooch in a combo.
    Post who.

Steves contract makes him virtually untradeable for now.

After all those trade mobley threads i think its about time. Mobley is a second rounder who earned his money through hard work. He took a discount to sign with the rocks why do so many people on this board want mobley gone.

I think this is a good thread. Mobley is not going to get us much besides another role player with glaring weaknesses. Teams are not going to give us someone great for Mobley. But they will for Francis. If we can get a Kidd or a Brand for Francis, or even a top 2 draft pick with the opportunity of getting Lebron James or that European guy, then I say go for it. Francis is good, but I don't think he's a franchise player. If we can get a franchise player for him, I think it's a no-brainer.

    only by 1 inch.

my ideal point guard for us would probably be pushing 6'6"

I don't like the idea of making our #1 ballhog as the main distributor of our team's offense.

I'd dump mobley at get someone who can spot up shoot (derek fisher like), be a decent defender and pass the ball.

Brent Barry would fit that niche nicely, but I don't think Seattle would take Mobley for Barry, unless they wanted to have our current problem.

he came in in '93 right?

he's past his prime, but he's still got a good 4-5 years of productive worthwhile play in him.

The best post in this thread.

Look, if we trade Francis, chances are it will be like the Quitten trade....very good player that is all-star caliber for 4 role players. Yao is good but sorry, Mobley is not good enough to help him out from the backcourt.

Francis has more talent and is younger. The only negative is that he has had a tough time "growing up" but it seems like he is willing to try. I don't know if people can say the same about Mobley except for the usual people who defend him.

Mobley for B Barry is something to really think about, Barry is a better passer and shooter and a little more aggresive on defensive side as well, hell it would be nice to have anohter white boy on the team, I miss Bullard and Scott Brooks...lol:p

I think Jon Barry would be a more realistic target.

    But it's nice to dream.

I mean, there aren't many guards out there that fit our needs.. Lucious Harris, Penny Hardaway, Kerry Kittles, Aaron McKie, Michael Redd, Eric Snow, Derek Anderson, Brent Barry, and Jon Barry are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.
