I haven't done the homework on this. I was nursing my after work vodka and talking about the Rockets debacle with my roomate when trade talk took over. Please tell me if this is even do-able.

Can we get maybe pursue Bobby Jackson from Sacramento and move Steve over to the 2?

I would give up almost anyone else on the team, Yao and Steve being the exception, to get this done. In my wildest dreams it would be a trade of Moochie and EG to Sacramento for BJ.

Should I start praying for this? Have I just cursed the possibility?

That trade's not possible, and Sacramento would have to be insane to make it if it was.

How about Mark Jackson? I suspect he is happy in Utah, but he would be great also. Vetran, true point guard, retiring soon.

the only point guard i'd pursue in the offseason is rod strickland. i think he's a free agent. that guy's always been a great point guard.

i think Bobby jackson for eddie griffin and mooch isn't a good trade for us, i stil believe in eddie's potential. Bobby jackson is a nice player, but not worth the potential of eddie, and if we trade eddie we do not have enough PF.

also jackson isn't a pass first pointguard. he is a scorer.

Sacremento won't trade anyone to us. They are a championship contender. Why would they get players from us when we don't play team ball like they do?

They might, depending on what happens in their championship run. It would have to be a 2, as they have 2 many (Wallace and Hedo and Jimmy Jax + Christie and the tandem playing together of Bibby/Bobby Jax). We should be interested in Christie, or even JimmyJax if he is a Free and cheap FA.

The kings have Wallace (or is it Randolph), a young gun of their own, so they dont need Eddie Griffin. So i dont think they would trade us Bobbie for Eddie. On the other hand, the Rockets think very highly of Eddie, and wouldnt trade him for Bobby. Simple. The needs dont fit. Nuff said.

And Rod freaking Strickland???? and Mark freaking Jackson????? Come on, Rod hasnt been healthy since East 1999 came out, and Mark J is older than my grandma

WE need to find a way to unload Moochie, first priority. Then sign a veteran point guard.

It would be nice to unload Moochie, but who would want him? Especially for the price. Everyone dreaming of us getting rid of him better not get too hopeful because no one will take him.

    Bobby isn't going anywhere.

    Period.

Plus that would give us the smallest backcourt in the league, we'd get posted up so much it's not even funny.

I am a Kings' fan and it's funny reading this post. It's fun to fantasize who you want from other teams, but this is getting rediculous. Do you even know how talented Bobby Jackson is? To tell you the truth, I doubt the Kings would even want to trade Bobby for Steve Francis straight up. Moochies and EG haven't proved anything.

You doubt the kings would trade Jackson for Francis? why????
because of the contract of francis, that must be it. You are saying now that the kings woudn't trade their sub point guard, for the starter of the west all star team. how in the world did the kings get so good if they woudn't do that trade?
i understand you are a kings fan, but this is ridiculas, i also know the rocketsfan on this board make stup[id trade suggestions. But saying you woudn't do Jackson for francis is funny:D

bobby jackson isn't exactly the pass first point guard that would present the panacea that is supposedly required.

With Mark Jackson on the team, Rockets definitely will be a contender in the playoff. Steve finally can learn some true point guard skills from a vet. Utah will have 4 point guards on the roster next year (Stockton, Jackson, Arroyals, and Lopez), all of them are true point guards. Someone must go and Rockets should pick them up (except John Stockton, since he will either play for Jazz or retire his number at Delta Center).

Jackson will be good backup point guard to play 15-20 minutes a game.
