Reggie Jackson...and he averaged like 20 pts against Bev despite his career average of 4.3 pts.

I agree. Lin is playing too well. He's showing up the 2 superstars and the coach. No-one is happy with him. Also the TTs are not working.

Look to see Asik and Lin in a package trade for skilled bigman 4/5.

It a pity because I think a line-up with both Bev and Lin starting would have been great. Something like this:

    Bev - Lin - Harden - Parsons - Howard

But looks like everyone on the team hates Lin... and most posters here so its best if he gets shipped off. He's a great character and hard worker so I'm sure he'll come back and flourish on another team, especially if its a bad team and he gets to run the show.

They should not put JLIN back in the starting line up. It's too late. How is the team suppose to build chemistry when you keep fcking around with the starting lineup. JLIN played fine coming out from the bench. Bev needs to step up. That is all.

Agreed. Also, this will make McHale look very bad...dirt bad. I'd say roll with it for at least 10 or so more games. That many game should give a much better picture.

McHale should be bolder than that for our next game, don't start Jeremy Lin and leave him on the bench. DNP - coaches' ahem james & dwight's ahem decision.

Very small sample size but Lin has been playing better defense than Bev so far in the season, at the very least equal defense. Again small sample size, Bev coming off injury, but something to keep an eye on.

Bev/Lin are pretty much the same caliber of defenders. Lin better team defender, Bev more fierce and active and better rebounder. There's little separation between the two. The advanced stats and Synergy Sports actually favors Lin slightly.

Beverley should not be playing so many minutes. He spends too much energy on defense and cannot hit open shots when he's gassed.

Are these stats for this season, last season, or career? I wouldn't be surprised at all if lin is favored this season, he has been better defensively. Last season, i would be surprised.

doesn't make a difference. He can't hit open shots when he's not gassed either.

For all the folks who went around claiming that Beverley "outplayed" Lin the preseason, thus earning the starting spot....

Yeah, Beverley is continuing to "outplay" Lin alright.....

Does that mean we have to stick it out with the twin towers as well? An 82 game schedule against the best players night in and night out is completely different from being an energy guy off the bench. Lin has developed a very well rounded game including conducting an offense, driving at an elite level, penetrating, improving the 3 ball, incorporating a mid range game, improving his defense.. Bev has never gone through it and I thought we were in win now mode? Lin needs to start and help make Harden more efficient, not the 26% 3 pt shooting, iso happy guy we've already seen in last year's losing streak.

I don't know what the reason is for it but I'd bet that McHale and Sampson's lack of respect for Lin's game with the constant criticiIng of Lin's game cuz he doesn't play the way they want him to, damn the results, has now spread and everyone thinks that Lin is the team's whipping boy. Also, it may be because there are practice guys and real gamers. Lin has since jr high been a bad practice guy and maybe that's why McHale can't see what's happening right before our eyes; that Lin is almost always bringing the team back when he's allowed to play freely instead of passing it off to Harden and sitting in the corner. They key is NOT for Lin to dominate the ball, but rather for Harden to play less iso. Of he can learn that then although I don't agree I think having Lin come off the bench is not that bad but as of now, Lin is the only one that can create his own shot or get the ball distributed properly other than Harden.

Tonight was not characteristic of his shooting, and I think you know that. He's the only one not allowed to have a poor shooting night, I guess.

I'm starting to think maybe Lin is a lockerroom cancer if this gossip about the team disliking him is true. Dolan, Melo, JR, and Woodson wanted him off the team and now maybe the Rockets feel the same way. Or maybe some stars need a coach with the gravitas to put them in place. I dunno.

Beverley not having a good shooting night sets off 500 pound bunker buster bomb in GARM.

Lin not having a good shooting night sets off a 65 megaton thermonuclear bomb more powerful than the Tsar Bomba in GARM.

James Harden not having a good shooting night is excused because he is a superstar and one of the top 5 players in the league.
