Well you are right but if what he says is true then it is a pretty big mistake.

Still the team knew a three would beat them and then gave up a three...

What is that gonna change? we aint pissed off because we lost 1 game in a 82 game season.

I m glad we lost this one so any these problems can be examined and hopefully changed. If Blake's shot hadnt went in, everyone would 've had wrapped things up and pretended nothing is wrong.

Someone should confirm and then send some sort of notification to a higher-up. Not that this will change anything most likely but I just want to know what happens in situations like these. I can only imagine this happening again hahaha

I actually noticed this too. I was confused because afterwards on two separate occasions the big screen would not match the side screens. So it looked like they were down by 19 but were down 14 or something. It was annoying.

Rewatching the TNT broadcast, the Lakers had 48 than a two and a foul shot to make it 51 before said three. So from the look of that 54 appears to be correct.

People blaming Howard's FT's knew what the hell they was getting.. No one is perfect... It was up to the coach and the players to make the adjustments.. Parsons made a mental lapse and we turn the ball over too many times down the stretch where the game had to come down to Dwight making freethrows.. No one on our team can't pass period! We need a point guard..should go after that guard from phx and tell him to lob every time down court.

I just went back and re-watched the whole game. Didn't find anything out of sorts.

I'll watch the game again to double check.

Nothing was wrong at 54:43. I just checked NBA play-by-play.

    Tinfoil hat off, please.

51-43 James Harden makes free throw 2 of 2
54-43 Wesley Johnson makes 25-foot three point jumper (Steve Nash assists)

you can't assume a point in the 2nd quarter just translates as an extra point at the end of the 4th. That one point is enough to change several different situations throughout the game.

I do remember one instance where I was confused about the score. I had in my head how much the Rockets were down by, then I looked at the score and the Lakers were up by one more point than I thought.

I was confused and then just assumed maybe they counted a Rockets 3 as a 2 or something.

I forgot about that until you mentioned it.

The NBA uses an official scorer (I presume with a scorebook) to score the games for official records.

I don't think the scoreboards in the arena are not official and not run by the official scorer, so I wouldn't pay attention to any error. It would be annoying as a fan and a player/coach though, to be fooled on what the score really is.
