Spoiler I knew a twist was coming but was leaning more toward everything being a game. Like it was all in his head or something to that effect. So yes I was a bit surprised by what happened. What a total mindf***! To be Ender in that position, I can't fathom how I would react. It also seemed they only barely touched on Ender's growing internal conflict in killing the Formics. And what I did find a little off was the scene after the final battle; it felt detached. And then reading synopses of the later books, I realized why.
Spoiler I saw it coming, partly because I thought the name of the movie/book gives it away, but, also, I thought their attitude towards the graduation game tipped it off.
