Mike D'Ántoni to Howard: "Too bad you're not the No. 1 guy to go to."

Big men don't like little guys trying to ride them really hard. It's really insulting because little guys don't know how hard it is to get position and how tiring it is. Little guys are little, it's a completely different sport to carry Howard's frame and do the things he does with his mass than Kobe who is 50 lbs lighter.

I can totally see how Dwight didn't take to kindly to Kobe calling him out while he was hurting physically and still sacrificing. Howard was frustrated with his role, his injuries, and the fact everyone was dogging him.

And then they cry when he bolts? Wow.

It was a matter of "fit."

 

I think the pnr is also an excuse. It was what he excelled with in orlando, its what he's excelling with in houston when he decides to stop experimenting with post moves. Honestly, if you'd paid attention to the lakers last year, there was nash's injury and kobe's comments about having to learn pnr.

So when I heard howards comment, via nash, about the pnr, I automatically think the full phrase goes something like, 'I don't want to run the pnr (with kobe)'.

 

D'Antoni doesn't know when to shut the **** up.

 

Last season was Mike D'Antoni's best since 2007-2008. It's been a while since he's done jack.
