i much rather hold a teams field goal percentage down than how many points are being scored, it is a better indication of if your team can stop the other from getting good shots off.

just look at the Clippers, they are one of the best offensive teams but are pretty woeful on defence, but they are winning because they are scoring high scores

 

Hey his fans love him pimpn. No he is not an all star but to them he is.

 

For the life of me, I can't understand how this prejudice league and organization can somehow....
- Make somebody a number one pick
- Hail him as one of the best to ever play the game
- Vote him in the hall of fame
- Revere him as one of the classiest player in the league

Even though he is an undersized center who's a Native black African Muslim who only started playing Bball until he was 17 years old.

Why do Lin fans ruin everything? This was a phenomenal win on the road against a good Portland team. Lin is contributing, the Rockets are winning, and right now, this team looks like it has an incredibly high ceiling.

 

4-1 hope we make it 5-1, nothing would be better than to smash the Lakers and Dwight to have a 20-20 game against them

just making a point that all the stars turn it over big time Kevin Durant, James Harden, Stephen Curry and Derrick Rose are top ten in turnovers, Eric Bledsoe leads but he been filling up the stat sheet in every box

 

Then who cares, the team is winning when Lin is playing well from the bench, Lin still earns his same amount salary when he comes from the bench, what is a big deal? Actually, Lin can be a play maker when Harden is not the floor.

 

with most teams wanting to play up tempo style of basketball, you are going to see high turnover rates anyway

 

did you watch the game? the type of TOs that are committed (mostly talking about dwight right now) aren't ones I care as much about as they don't lead to fast breaks. offensive fouls, traveling (a lot for us this season so far...weird), out of bounds, etc. I can live w/ those TOs, though obviously I'd like to avoid them. I just won't freak out about them.

 

He only played one regular season game from the bench. So what sample size and where are you getting that from?

 

The Rockets are 4-1. Bev and especially Lin have both played very well so far and some peoples eyes McHale did something wrong. He started something he never should have. Caused a controversy that wasn't necessary.

Please. The only controversy is with Lin fans and there obsession with him starting, getting a certain amount of minutes and closing games. When these three things aren't satisfied there is a controversy on message boards and no where else. Not with the team in the locker room. McHale has done nothing but what he believe is best for the team and so far NO ONE should be complaining. We are 4-1. You play to win the game not to satisfy a players fan base.

 

More importantly, Jeremy Lin is showing other upper middle class kids who graduate from Harvard that they too can be successful. That message of hope to those youngsters shouldn't be overlooked.

 

I am most impressed that compared to last year, we don't need no stinking threes to fall to blow by teams.

 

Well, that and the accountants. Word from my dad is that he and alot of Chinese fans didnt watch the game where Lin came off the bench. They apparently had no interest in watching him not 'succeed', and mentioned a couple other chinese nba players that didn't have any traction with chinese fans because they didn't start.

 

All ya need to chill. Lin won't resign with the Rockets Lin will be gone to another team , , Beverley will be the Rocket pg , all the hater will be happy.
