Why people dissin' Bev in his first game back from injury one week early in an attempt to prop up Lin?

Side note: I'm pretty sure there aren't any Beverly Only Fans. There are probably Rockets Fans Who Prefer Beverly Over Lin In The Starting Lineup but that is too long an acronym. I also believe there are Rockets Fans Who Prefer Lin Over Bev In The Starting Lineup.

I went over them in PbyP, not all 16 on bev, 1 was on Dwright's defensive 3 sec, a 2+1 on harden but harden came to help dont remember who got blow by or it was in transition, 12 on beverley can be sure, 6 on lin that's 2 3pters all in the first Q, after that he got 0 from Lin and have couple TOs, since mid 2nd Q Portland's offense pretty much die off and Rox gradually build up a 15 pts lead.

Of that list, only Westbrook, Parker and CP3 give Lin trouble...and they give everyone trouble. (watch the games, it helps.) Sidenote: how long do you think Bev would've been on the court against the Clippers when the refs were handing them out like candy and he already fouls quite easily?

LIN vs Bev, who cares? They are both Rockets, they both played well, and we won the game.

Lin was the bigger factor in the game. Bev was a big contributor but Lin was a primary factor in how he played on both sides of the floor. Howard was the biggest followed by Harden followed by Lin.

Who cares????? We need both of them to be big factors. Correcting someone and claiming who was the bigger factor is irrelevant and counterproductive

Don't get me wrong here. I mean no matter how well Lin plays, he will be sent to the bench. The kid doesn't get much love from his coach.

I don't understand the madness either. I guess some fans want to be right all the time so when Lin makes that mistake. They will come on here and say I told you so. We won the game with both Lin and Bev playing damn good. But all they can talk about is who should be the starter. SMH

Hey blame this sh** on McHale

People aren't dissin' Bev. They're merely stating the facts of last nights game.

The Rockets forum is huge so I'm sure there has to be a few Bev Only Fans. But I would guess that the majority of posters that diss Lin are most likely just trolls (see their new join date) and are just trying to to get everyone to argue with each other.

I agree, I think Lin has shown us who he really is. He is healthy; he has dealt with the fact that he isn't the starting point guard. He's playing as well as he did in New York, but with less shots. I think in the next few weeks a lot more people will change their mind on who Lin is.

On another note Patrick Beverly has been really effective for the team. He really does seem as good as Lin. I mean if you consider this game as telling both he and Lin scored 12 points a piece. Lin had more assist, but Patrick had more rebounds. I think his defense might be a little bit overrated; while his offense is underrated. I can't wait to see the rematch on Saturday!

I don't think so. I think to say Bev and Lin were both big factors it makes it sounds equal. In this game, Lin was a primary factor of why the Rockets won. He was one of the main ingredients in how he kept the team under control and his defense, effort and control. I also should have included Asik, he also was a primary factor in the game. Lin's 12 points don't come close to showing all he did in the game. He played way better than the box score indicates.

They both contributed to the win, I really couldn't care less about who was more of a factor AS LONG AS THEIR EFFORTS CONTRIBUTED TO A ROCKETS WIN!!!!!!

    Capisce?

The defense has been terrible for the Rockets this season after the Jazz game the Rockets was ranked 6th in PA (points allowed) w/ 93.7 now they dropped all the way to 23rd in PA w/ 103.8---lazy weak side help by Asik and Howard we back where we was last year

Yea it's so annoying to check out the game thread to see some thoughts on the game last night and every single time it's a b**** and moan fest about Lin's playing time or performance.

    Smdh...
