Omer started, where's the outrage for him not finishing?

Both Lin and Bev played good tonight, but honestly Bev is the best ball handler on this team so he's going to handle the ball in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line. That's why Bev is going to finish games this year, and Lin will play alongside him depending on the matchup.

Yeah. The 3 point shot is the great equalizer. Hard to beat a team when you are much worse on the 3s than the opponent for the game. If HOU had their normal 3 point shooting night, the game would have been even more lopsided and basically over by the start of 4th.

I don't think many here understand the situation with Lin, I'm not Asian so I'm not biased in that regard or saying that McHale is racists. HOWEVER, Lin is treated VERY differently and tonight you can see it. Lin had a great game tonight in all aspects but he gets criticized for every little thing he does. It's like people are just waiting for him to make a mistake so that they can say something about him. Harden has 7 turnovers no one says anything, Lin gets one and "Well, I was about to type that Lin was having a good game BUT he just turned the ball over..." Like, seriously? So, Lin turns the ball over ONE time in the third quarter and he no longer had a good game. Lin makes a steal, gets 2 points out of it. Everyone is cool. Bev steals or gets a lose ball and gets 2 points. Everyone is "Bev, the starting PG such great defense, much much better than Lin." (I don't hate on Bev I like him, just an example). And that's with everything. I mean truly, based on the first 3 quarters who should have been there in the 4th Lin or Bev? I think we can all agree with Lin. BUT, that's not even the issue. The issue is that Portland was playing small ball with three guards and McHale STILL didn't put Lin in the game. So, it doesn't matter how good of a game Lin has, he is always going to benched UNTIL someone makes a big mistake and McHale gets mad and MAYBE puts him in.

I'm glad Rockets won, but it bothers me how Lin is perceived by most people specially in the Rockets organization no matter how good he plays.

It's all mental for the Rockets. The talent is there, obviously! We have to be mentally prepared every game and when we do that we play games like we did in the second half. This team is special!

That's an understatement. I had some doubts but not anymore after tonight.

Super efficient?! 33 points on 18 attempts and 8 ****ing TOs!!! And most of those TO created transition points (or chances). Not to mention his man was left open all the time and kept burning us.

This **** might fly against Portland but it won't work against better teams.

Good showing by Bev. i'm sure he will raise his defensive efficiency as he gets closer to 100%.

Lin was awesome except for that short stretch.

Parsons should get his head out of his ass.

Howard was the man of the game. Looking better with his post moves as well.

I hope we can figure out a way to integrate Asik into the starting lineup. TT gave us the lead. Maybe TT might work better with Lin in. Should experiment.

Hopefully you're saying that when Harden hits a wall in two months like he did last year.

Agreed. Bev was great too though due to him coming back from an injury. This team is lucky to have two great point guards in these two. People need to stop hating.

I don't think we win this game without Beverly. Major props to PBev for coming back early.

Glad Harden bounced back, Dwight looked awesome (especially with those made free throws), and our backcourt got it done. PB and J!

Portland was playing small ball with 3 guards. You put Asik in and is a BIG mismatch.

I wonder if McHale is planning to stick to this guard rotation. Maybe he's figured out the Lin can start AND run the bench unit with proper time management. More consistency and less drama. Everyone is happy and it seems to work well.

Lin should've ended the game. I agree with that. He played better then Bev. But we won regardless, so stop everyone. Bev and Lin are both starting PGs. Harden needs lessen his minutes. Terrible minute management from McHale...

    Surprise, surprise.
Lin and Bev played the same minutes.
Lin was the player who locked down Lilliard, not Bev.

I would rather Lin suffer one or two dumb fouls right now to learn his limits on D rather then being tentative and not aggressive enough, just like I'd rather Lin be aggressive on offense rather than camping at the 3.

Obviously. He's a coach; he can do whatever he wants, as long as Lin gets paid. Just like if I were the coach, I would prefer Lin to finish the game; but since I am not the coach, I ain't going to complain.

    Awesome win.

    - Monster games for Harden and Howard. I am SO pleased w/ Dwight's FTs. So pleased. Harden: "All glory to God." I know that's right.
    - Really, really great performance from Jeremy on both ends of the floor. Hard to contain us once he set the pace.
    - Asik was great on LMA. He is a necessity -- not a luxury -- IMO.
    - Really good game for Bev. Immediate impact (though I'm still a little nervous about his health).
    - Hope Chandler finds his groove soon. That's all I'll say about that.
    - Would have liked to see Greg Smith get a little burn, but now I'm just being picky.

Really hope we can ride this momentum through Saturday. Two LA thrashings would be amaaaaaazing.
