It seems like an aweful lot of TV is simply reruns

Last Night I watch new episodes of Sleepy Hollow and Blacklist
but during the day and before 7 . . reruns reruns reruns
Beyond the news . . . seems like most channels are populated with either ReRun TV shows or ReRun Movies.

have to do better time management

Isn't that the only reason TBS is still on the air?

50/50 I guess. I don't watch much TV outside of sports. Now that Breaking Bad is over, the only new show I'm really watching is Korra. I DVR shows like Restaurant: Impossible and Bar Rescue, but only watch them when I just need something on in the background.

I watch quite a bit of Seinfeld reruns - episodes I've seen 10+ times. Dat Julia Louis-Dreyfus...

If you're talking about actual programming on television, probably 30%.

If we're including Netflix (and similar services), over 80%. I don't know if I'll ever get tired of watching King of the Hill, Futurama, and 30 Rock. Too bad that King of the Hill is no longer on any streaming service.

I draw the line at matlock reruns.

I like watching a series that i've already watched, just not on a tv station. there is something nostalgic about it.

I've been watching the reruns of Community since I haven't seen them since they first aired. And I'm down to watch any Futurama. But that's about it.

If the rerun is old enough I may have forgotten enough of the details to be worth watching again. If it's one I haven't seen it's really not a rerun for me. But if it's one I remember well I am much more likely to find something else to do.

I consistently watch reruns. Castle, 30 Rock, Futurama, M*A*S*H, Law & Order. When I'm working from home, it's pretty much all that's on during the day. I can watch only so many hours of SportsCenter.

Yeah, but I like watching them in sequential order. Also, 2 episodes a night doesn't feel like enough. I have an unhealthy obsession with that show.

I watch a lot of Seinfeld reruns, and sometimes I watch bits of movies that I have already seen, so I would 50/50, since I watch a lot of sports.

If I've seen it I rarely watch it again. The only things that I have caught myself watching that Ive seen already are Family Matters, Fresh Prince, Seinfeld, Ol School Power Rangers, Anything 90s Nick. Anything else I may stop, watch a little, then move along.

Now, reruns of shows I haven't seen, I watch. I'm watching Farscape right now. I watched all manner of Rerun when I was younger.

Hasn't Netflix made it's business model on reruns? very lucrative.

Essentially all re-runs. I ditched cable once Itunes, Amazon Instant and Netflix streaming all took hold. I'll never watch reality TV, but the superior ratings mean scripted programming has a far narrower margin of error and will get canceled that much more quickly. A procedural cop show with name actors like Chicago Code or Prime Suspect (U.S.) would have gotten two or three seasons fifteen years ago (remember how long NY Undercover ran?); but nowadays you can check Futon Critic or Deadline to see overnights and tell a show's going to be cancelled by November. No need to invest in that when you can watch every season of Dexter on a constant loop.

I just noticed it's not on Netflix anymore. When did that happen?
