no comments for season 4? really enjoying the show, great show last night scene with dunn and chalky was intense, and geezus nucky it's the 20th century, let a woman be a woman
The scene with Chalky/Daughter and then Dunn was one of the best yet in the series. Michael K. Williams' face is so expressive. The way the fight played out should have been predictable, but it was so tense and the setup with the hymn was done so well that I honestly wasn't sure what would happen. Sorry to see Purnsley go; I liked him. But it's going to be great seeing the Doctor take his medicine.
This season feels very weak. Too many characters I don't care about, and killing off the ones I do. Eli's son Willie? Don't give a **** about this emo b*stard. You accidentally killed the guy who was bullying you, boohoo. Gillian? Should die already, but since shes one of the few actresses willing to get naked they keep her around. Sally, screen fodder romance/loose end for Nucky if I ever saw one, especially with Margaret still around on the show. And they killed off Eddie, one of the best secondary characters this series has ever had. This season is lacking the drive generated by Gyp Rosetti craziness and the Father Son dynamic of the past few seasons. Also, they are sorely needing more Harrow.
Wow, that Chalky/Purnsly fight scene was so beautifully shot. One of the best looking scenes I've ever seen in a tv show/film. Just crazy. I really hope Chalky doesn't die and he beats the doctors ass. He's slimey. The show should be getting more love. It's a shame.
these last two episodes have been great, van alden with a couple of really great scenes in this last episode i dont want chalky to die cause i enjoy his character, but at some point gangsters die or go to jail
Nucky has to realize sooner or later that despite Chalky's emotional outbursts, he can be trusted, which is more important than anything else.
nucky was talking down to both narcisse and chalky, i thing he ends up siding with chalky but maybe too little too late
i wish chalky would just take care of narcisse. i hate how some parts of the story move so slowly. also, i dont care about gillian anymore. i wish they would just drop her character.
I've enjoyed the season. Some story lines aren't as interesting as others, but there aren't any that I just hate. With 3 episodes left I expect things to pick up the pace closing out.
