Deandre Jordan and Blake Griffin had the eye of the tiger, while Dwight looked like Cinderella wondering what happened to her magic slippers.

McHale then inserted 6'7" beanpole Casspi for interior defense.

Can we just fire Morey already?

It will be bad coaching as long as McHale tries to force feed a starting lineup of Asik/Howard on the floor. They got outscored by the Bobcats 19-17, Jazz 24-16, and now the Clips 42-25. Only reason the Mavs aren’t listed is because Asik got in foul trouble the first minute of the game, and what do you know, the Rockets finally win a first quarter 38-22.

The Rockets didn't really play any defense in the first half. It looked identical but worse to the previous game we played and first half. I turned it off after that. Basically, the Rockets idea of defense in the first half was let them shoot the wide open 3 hoping they would miss. Or, to be outhustled to the rim. Basically, every shot the Clippers created was uncontested for the most part. It was EMBARRASSING! Felt like I was watching a Cowboys game. I guess the situation improved slightly in the second half as they didn't drop another 78. I never even heard of a team scoring 78 in a half before last night. I was horrified. Regardless, if Harden even plays close to his regular self, then we would have been closer to making this a game. Interested to see how we come out in the first half against Portland. If we come out looking like we don't care about defense in this game, then it could be another long night.

This is their core's third year playing together.

    This is our core's first.

Just a strange game. Early fouls on Harden and Howard seemed to make both of them very passive. The Clippers made a bunch of long shots and the Refs were horrible. I was really surprised the Rockets were able to stay in the game until late in the 4th quarter.

It was an ugly loss, but I thought there were some positives. Outside of Howard and Harden, I thought a number of other players did pretty well. I expect the Rockets to bounce back and play well in the coming days, and I will be surprised if the Rockets don't beat the Clippers when the come to town on Saturday.

I agree that the twin tower thing ain't working. better scrap it, cause it jam the lane.

    My thoughts:
    1. Fark the refs
    2. Harden had an off night, let's hope he comes back next game.
    3. Fark the refs
    4. Kudos to the clippers for shooting excellently.
    5. Fark the refs
    6. Howard was nullified with early foul troubles.
    7. Fark the refs
    8. Lin is doing fine, hope he keeps his head up and continue to improve.
    9. Fark the refs
    10. Parsons was perhaps passable, but that's not enough to get him the raise.
    11. Fark the refs
    12. Asik was good in stretches but seem to still needing to work on his stamina.
    13. Fark the refs
    14. Casspi, Garcia, brooks and smith are good players for our bench. Jones still need brushing up.
    15. Fark the refs
    16. CP3 can never become a great player if he continues to rely on his bag of tricks to get foul calls on his opponents, which is a pity since he is already talented.
    17. Oh yeah for good measure, Fark the refs!!!

Let's hope we bounce back against Portland. Go Rockets!!!

McHale has said if it doesn't work then they will scrap it. But is four games enough of a test to see if it will work? I don't think anyone really thought it would be perfect at the beginning, but over time it might improve. I'm willing to experiment with the twin towers for maybe 20-25 games to see how it develops. I don't think four games is enough time to know for sure how it will work out.

There were lotta Houston fans in the building last night, sounded like maybe 1/3rds was Rockets fans. Whenever Dwight had the ball, you'd hear boos, then when he scores you hear applause lol.

Harden didn't expand his game in the offseason it seems. All he does is iso and shoot contested 3's

twin tower is good for rebound with asik but asik is to slow can't block shot. On defense the twin tower clog up the lane. you can leave asik and dwight alone and can't shoot from outside.

    hurt the team on offense

It's the NBA, teams get hot while others get cold, equals blow out. We will do it to plenty of other folks before the season is over. No big deal. The Rockets are clearly a work in progress. I agree about JLin, the refs let him get killed with out consequence. He is always wearing a bandage of some kind. I remember a similar situation with Yao. There has to be bias, unconscious or not.
