At this point, I really don't care who starts over who. Both Lin and Beverly just need to play their brand of basketball. Lin being offensively aggressive and Beverly being defensively aggressive.

What? Never heard Lin said such thing. Of course I don't expect that Lin is all happy about the arrangement, and that's totally understandable. What's more important is what a player chose to DO than SAY if he disagree with his coach. Does he chose to pout in court or still do whatever he can to help the team? I'm sure you will find the answer from how he plays.

Are you kidding me? Pretending to be the better man and making possibly the most blatantly biased statement in this thread? You hear far more anti-Lin comments about his turnover problems and inability to make proper decisions - and always one or two quips about his Harvard education - as much as you hear compliments.

If you have an agenda you might as well state it loud and clear before you start typing so I can skip over it.

Imo if you put on a team:
    - Dwight alone with scrubs
    - Harden alone with scrubs
    - Parsons alone with scrubs
    - Lin alone with scrubs

The player most likely to be a superstar in this case is Lin. He is an on ball player who makes everybody better.

This is why Rockets need to give the ball more to Lin, give him to make more decisions, instead of camp in the corner for a Derek Fisher 3. Lin is too good for that role. Once in a while is fine when Harden is initiating, but put the ball more in Lin's hands and he takes turns with Harden initiating the offense, and the Rockets' offense can be so much more diverse and be harder to stop.

Yeah I am a LOF but if you think about my statement carefully, you'll find truth in it.

Rockets simply cannot view Lin as just another player/ just another 1 of the 5 guys on the court with the purpose of moving the ball to Harden or Parsons or Dwight in the post. If the coaching staff really think this way, which often looks that way, which makes the players also view Lin as that player, they're really selling themselves short.

I'd say let Dwight and Asik worry about the D, and let's go gangsbusters on offense with Lin in starting lineup. **** Bev.

Which is surprising even if you're a new Rockets fan (note I said Rockets fan lol), because he was one of Utah's key players during all those playoff battles during the T-Mac and Yao era.

I'm saying all this because people make it seem like Lin plays chopped-liver D. But one of the big things about him in New York was his one-on-one D was one of the best in the L. He held opponents in one-on-one situations to a low FG%. Maybe he regressed last year, but this year, I've seen him in preseason and 3 season games so far that he's back at that level again with stronger lower body and faster legs, and stronger upper body.

Yes, Bev plays better D but it's not that much better that he gets starting nod over Lin while overlooking Bev's much inferior O.

To put it simply, Lin's O is much better than Bev's O... so much more than Bev's D is better than Lin's D.

Whoa there buddy. Come back to earth as there is no way Lin is a bigger superstar than Harden or Howard by any stretch of the imagination. Now, do I think Lin's style of game is infectious and good? Yes. Do I think Lin is ready to carry a team? No. He can run a team sure he's a good pg but his game, his confidence, etc are not there yet. And I'm a big Lin fan. As for talking crisp about Bev?? You're way out of bounds and obviously dintvknowichbsbout basketball as Bev is a definite plus player and is going younger better. Check yourself bro before cussing out one of the good guys cuz you're definitely gonna wreck yourself, if you haven't already.

    Nice, thx
Hey, he was playing great D until he gave Burks too little respect!
That's it, don't fix if it ain't broken.
If they can't start together I can imagine D12 being unhappy about it.
Na, disregarding the name-calling, it's a bad basketball decision.
    Interesting......
Can't shoot. He's basically a defensive specialist now and I guess RJ and Hayward don't warrant that.

On the contrary, when it comes down to it, the fact of the matter is that we have one faction on these boards who advocates and supports a key member of this team and another faction who, without apparent rational reasoning, are hellbent on heckling and antagonizing the same player and his fanbase, despite the fact that they know this player is an important piece in helping the team achieve its goals. Now you tell me who the real rockets fans are.
