Ever young player seems to have a breakout season in their 3rd year.

    why? I don't know

But think of it this way that grififn just finished his junior year and entering senior year.

Too bad there was no improvement at all from his "Soph" to "Jr" year.

Well, I think its third year for folks taken in the first round of draft and second year for folks taken in second round. I guess contract has something to do with it.

If Griffin is still here next year........yeah, I would say this upcoming offseason and next full season will be the turning point for Griffin. There has to be MARKED improvement on his game next season. Just look at what Troy Murphy of Golden State did from last year to this year. He went from a bench scrub to averaging a DOUBLE/DOUBLE! This is the kind of improvement we want from Griffin next year!

I hope he only has a decent/good year next year. Then he signs with us for 6 years / 25 million dollars and the EXPLODES into a Superstar.

The Problem is that if Francis is a Max Player and Yao will be one after three years, and then Cato and Mo and Cats upcoming new contract; we can't afford a superstar Griffin!!

An argument could be made for not trading Griffin this summer when his marketability is at an all-time low (especially with the arrest).

Murphy did that in his second season, though. However, he had at least 2 more years college experience.

Maybe if the Rockets give him more PT he may develop a good player. The guy can play both forward positions on a team that really has no true starter at either...yet he gets 24.5 minutes per game. Either the Rockets know he has no skills or they don't care to take the time needed to develop them.

I thought he did have a little improvement in his post up game. It's hard for a PF to learn to post up when your body is not physically developed. A guy like Troy Murphy or Amare are physically developed, EG is not. I did not fill out till I was around 22 or 23, hopefully EG can fill out over the summer and become more of a low post presence.

I think if he uses Clearasil he can avoid the nasty blemishes that can cause a breakout.

That's because this notion is a myth. Jermaine O'Neill didn't play worth a damn in his third year.

I think the best thing for this team would be if Griffen would hit the gym HARD this summer and work with the strength and conditioning coaches to really, REALLY muscle up and become an enforcer. He won't be posting up, that's for Yao and to a lesser degree Mo Taylor. This is the BEST way to secure his future with this franchise by helping the team win and at the same time boost himself as a future free agent. Right now his trade value is sh*t.
