    Rookie Power Rankings: April 15, 2003

    By Randy Kim
    With the 2002-03 season coming to a close, it's time to take one final look at this year's impressive rookie class.

    The final rankings found below are not based on last week's games, but are based on the entire season. Keep in mind, this is just one person's rankings, and have no impact on this season's got milk? Rookie of the Year award.

    Also, check out the bottom of the page, for a list of more rookies who deserve recognition for their play this season.

    Here are this season's final rookie rankings:

    NO. 1 :: YAO MING, C, HOUSTON ROCKETS

    Stats: 80 GP, 13.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg, .503 FG%, 1.74 bpg, .807 FT%, 29.1 mpg
    Noteworthy: Led all rookies in blocks
    Notes: Tough to differentiate between Yao and Amare, but Yao gets the nod for having so much of the game flow through him ... While it might not show up in the stat sheet, Yao's passing and feel for the game are unheard of for a player his size ... Already a complete player, and wildly popular to boot ... Could be one of the game's dominant big men for years to come.

    NO.2 ::

    i think his point is that "Keep in mind, this is just one person's rankings, and have no impact on this season's got milk? Rookie of the Year award."

    But Mr. Mean will destroy the Yao' stats. Yao only got 21 mins. in the game to Grizzlies. Wahy? Mr. mean don't like Yao get ROY?

    once more,I repeat that Yao does't mind if he get the Roy,he cares only about if Rox gets playoffs spot and will be championships in future.He feels dispointed even if he got the ROY when he knows Suns enterinto playoff.
    At present,I hope Rox should draw a lesson from the pasted season to adjust more things for future.
