Im not worried about Chandler he does all the little things for the Rockets like pass plays D and rebounds he is just in a slump he will shoot his way out of it
Chandler has been off for the first two games, but he has the ability to create off the dribble. He also has a really high BBIQ when it comes to cutting off the ball, which is especially useful in the first unit when defenses are doubling and overcompensating. That being said, Cisco has REALLY impressed me dating back to the playoffs. Not only does he shoot well, but his defense has been EXCELLENT. I'm psyched about our second unit of him, Lin & Asik.
He's been trying to find his groove within the offense. He's been playing too unselfish in the half court, and by the time the game gets going other teams have been clamping down on our fast break attack since it's damn near impossinble to get a board on Asik and Dwight. He has nothing to feed off of (fast break), his shots become forced (from not finding flow and/or making the extra pass), and his cuts are underminded and/or not made within the scope of the current offense. He'll find his way. We're going to need his output on tough nights.
2 games of box score stat is crap. 2 games of plus minus with different lineups vs. different opponent is garbage. Making knee jerk decisions after 2 games is ridiculous. You say Garcia fits better in these lineups, but what lineups? Has Garcia played a minute with the rest of the starter, or against the opponents starting lineup? Who has been on the court with and against him? And finally, if Garcia is doing so well in the role he is playing, why should he change? Is there any evidence these numbers will be the same in a different role? And is there some reason you think that a guy who has shot 43% and 36% from 3 over 480 games is suddenly going to shoot over 50% from both? Spare us this trash.
The results have been what they have been, but it's only 2 games. Garcia has been surprisingly good on defense and automatic from 3. Parsons' shot has not fallen much, but it is good that we have two good and very cheap small forwards on the team.
Disguised thread for LOFs to continue complaining even though Lin is starting for now and just had six turnovers
Parsons definitely the most disappointing player in rotation so far after 2 games . Should we drop him to bench? of course no. Should we reduce his minutes when he play like this again? Hell yes
Won't someone please think of the female fans? We saw what happened when LOF's ranted about Lin's benching Imagine that but far far worse.. You will doom this forum Never cross a female fan-base
What I would like to know is how is calling out Lin fans on stupid crap making a thread about Lin? No one called out Lin in this thread they called out his fans who can sometimes come up with some really crazy stuff.
this, but mchale got too much faith on parson. play garcia more when parson's off but start parson as he's our glue guy
Anybody that joined during or after July 2012 shouldn't have thread starting privileges until they have proven themselves not to be a total bonehead.
this obviously is a trolling thread, so i don't know if this comment is serious or not. you don't really think his defense is elite right? he hasn't played good defense since his rookie year.
What I find funny about this thread, and I'm disappointed no one has mentioned yet, is that McHale very certainly rewarded Garcia's performance by having him play in crunch time. Garcia played the entire 4th quarter until McHale pulled all his starters. So in essence, Garcia played well and McHale let him play more. Which is EXACTLY what McHale has been doing for all his time here. The players that play well get more playing time. Which directly counter the OP's argument that the Rockets are not a merit-based system.
