Forcing other teams to take shots from the outside, you can't go wrong with that especially in a league where shooting is a lost art. victory to omer&dwight.

 

When the other team goes stretch 4 we can sub in Casspi for Asik or slide Parsons to the 4 and sub Garcia.. Then from there its bucket season.

 

Yes we can. If only you can commit more on the defensive side, like your rookie year.

Defense can get them ugly wins right now since the offense is still in flux and chemistry is still meshing.

I'll take ugly wins sometimes over high scoring loses any day,

Rockets were top 5 when Asik was on floor. Saying we were One of the worst defenses is not only exaggeration but uninformed. 48 minutes of either Dwight or Omer (or both) on the floor will be top 10, at the very least.

 

you know, for someone who just had 1 single decent year, he sure's been talking and making headline comments a lot, ever since the freakin offseason.

i'll give him prop, he's good at kiss a55 when it comes to recruiting free agents lol

Some of you naysayers seem oblivious to the fact that despite their "overall" defensive ranking last year, the Rockets were solid defensively as long as Omer was on the floor.

Defense dropped off significantly when he sat and we lost his rim protection and control of the paint.

We still have Omer PLUS Dwight and now have 48 minutes of elite rim protection and control of the paint.

All your rebound belong to us.

 

It will be hard to play at the pace they need to play to be their offensive best, while exerting enough effort on the defensive end to be the best in the league on a consistent basis. Maybe he means "At any given time" and that I believe. Regardless, improving our interior D, alone, should make us better closers of games we are winning in the final minutes.

I definitely think we're improved on D in general, though hate to see Bev get hurt so quickly regarding that.

 

I wouldn't expect Chandler to say anything less. Certainly he should believe they can be the best defense in the NBA...and they have a real shot.

Harden must play much better defense in order to achieve that "best" rating, but he is capable of doing that.

Tonight will be a good test.
