Who won't love a guy like Garcia? His demeanor, leadership, defense and his 3-point shooting... just plucking some reasons out of the air.
He is quickly becoming one of my favorite Rockets of the past decade, if we are going to win a Championship we are going to need him to be the deadly shooter he has been so far for us. I could see him having a Mike Miller like game in the playoffs to carry us with 3 after 3.
I was worried that this might be another Lin thread in disguise; but it isn't; and for that I am thankful.
One thing I've noticed though is that non-Lin threads tend to be pretty darn boring; and this one is no exception. Hey, I got it! Um...Garcia can't handle the rock to save his life! He isn't nearly the playmaker and passer that Delfino was. Just let Garcia hit the open three and play defense; otherwise, we're talking turnover. Take THAT you Garcia lunatics!!!
I've followed Cisco for years, but yes, you are correct in terms of handles. We will miss Carlos' playmaking ability for sure. However, I think Cisco is a better overall shooter than Carlos. Carlos was at his best behind the 3, and although Cisco is deadly there, too, he is also consistent with his jumper and drives the lane better.
Does anyone know where all the Del-fine-o ladies last year went? Maybe they can switch to Cisco. He's playing the same role as Delfino, and looks like he has a better shooting percentage too
