They're really all there for Derrick Rose's return. That's the only reason I'm watching. But I'm also not a Heat fan.
Yes. You can buy a ticket in the lower bowl at Toyota Center, and then cheer when the rockets make a basket. Bring some of your friends with you to help fill the seats. Problem solved.
Let's see... back-2-back titles, opening night, marque matchup on TNT with DRose and the Bulls, raising championship banner, ring ceremony... that should pretty much explain it.
Prior to LBJ's arrival, Miami had among the most fairweather fanbases in the NBA. Real fans are in Boston, Chicago, NYK, GSW and OKC.
I went to numerous games last season and make it a point to go to at least 3 or 4 games each season but I can only afford to sit in the upper bowl (where the true fans reside it seems)
If you want to see real hardcore fans, look at the current active Astros fan base. Man those guys' short term future looks bleak.
I find empty seats at the lower bowl of the Toyota Center all the time... We don't have fans like Golden State who stay throughout the entire game even in a loss just to cheer their players for a great season (granted this was after a playoff game, but our fans didn't cheer for our team after a great successful/surprising season last year after the loss to OKC). If anything we have mediocre fans who leave early during a blow out or when getting blown out by another team just so they can beat the traffic on 59. <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/g1qRdaA0zqA?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/g1qRdaA0zqA?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Miami sports fans are the worst sports fans in the nation. Not sure why anyone would be jealous of them. They arrived late for this game and then left early...not really a good standard...
