Pop messed up playing too much Finley and Bonner. He is a good coach but not flawless.
Lin played very well the first three games. The last three he was not well but he still put in 6 and 8 assists. The last game everyone rested.

Oh no, the accusatory and childish name-calling! McHale came off the bench for Larry Legend, he started most games in his prime.

Man, the BOFs are just as annoying as the LOFs. Can we just enjoy the TEAM we have instead of bashing our own players? Oh yeah, this is clutchfans...

Forget Bev and JLin. We should just start AB....lol

I'm just excited that the rockets have 2 PG's that are good enough to start not to mention a legit 3rd option in AB if all else fails. This is a great issue to have. Morey has done an outstanding job this year and some "Rockets fans "should be excited instead of complaining about who starts. For the first time in awhile, we finally have a legit title shot. I'm just loving all this attention we are finally getting on Espn, blogs, forums and etc. We've been mediocre for too long since the clutch city days....it's time.

Btw can you find a quote by Mchale saying that Bev out played Lin? ...

    Yeah though so...

as real said... get your facts straight first then spin what ever you want to spin.

Just to get things straight, I actually liked that Lin is now coming of the bench... buy saying he was OUTPLAYED, tells me that you didn't watch the preseason at all...

here is the hypocrisy kicks in. With the same theory, Thunder was better off with Harden come off the bench, for the best of the team he can just take 4m less and stay there, they have a very good shot for championship. yet he did not and come to ROX, by then Howard was not here yet and there was no chance for the title. why? because he didnt want to sacrifice his personal interest, NOT EVEN FOR THE RING. However I fully understand it and I have no problem with it, he did a right move for his career.

Now it comes to Lin's turn. He got demoted in the same name of best interest of the team, he accepted it, did not ask for trade and did not blow hot air to the media. but so many people here just couldn't see his sacrifice and take it as granted without appreciation. REMEMBER Ricky Rubio WONT DO IT. REMEMBER ASIK ASKED FOR A TRADE. REMEMBER YOUR SUPERSTAR HARDEN WONT DO IT, EVEN FOR CHAMPIONSHIP, he rejected it back in thunder and he will reject Rox if they do ask, or they already did ask and he did reject it last season, I still remember some trace especially "I am the leader I dont need to change".

ROX including ROX fans should all be thankful and show support to Lin, a team player with great personality, if Rox indeed win this year they should appreciate more. yet what I see is ignorance, lack of respect, and some maybe ROX PR guy just try to deny what they are doing and sweep dust under the carpet. ROX did it ugly, I fully understand business is business and they desperately need a ring, but it's ugly. When they finally get on to the top who would still remember the great sacrifice this guy did for the team? From what I see from ROX and from their fans, very few. That's what bother me most and prevent me from being a Rox fan again after Yao-Tmac. This organization has some problem, and some of the fans too. Period.

Who finishes also doesn't matter. Only win/loss matters. If the lineup works well, so be it.

So i'm guessing our bench will be:

    Lin/Brooks?
    Brewer/Lin?
    Casspi
    Jones
    Motiejunas

If so, that's a good rebounding squad.

Not a surprise, like we've been saying.... the 2nd unit needs him more than Dwight and Harden do

In a position with an open competition? Yes

Whenever there is a scenario with multiple competent players at a single position (without a CLEAR standout) in any sport, preseason is often when the "winner" is decided.

Oh I must have missed the part where Lin is on par with Howard and Harden. You don't seem to understand how logic works, persons. Try again. *shakes head*

The Rockets don't have time to shamelessly demote people while they are in pursuit of a championship. Clear your head and come back when you have something worthwhile to post.

For what its worth the Harden trade came about because Oklahoma City made the decision to commit to Ibaka over Harden. I don't recall any trade demands being attributed to Harden in the lead up to the trade.
