I have heard/read that Karl Malone is threatening to leave the Utah Jazz.
I know to some it would seem that we need an extra veteran or shooter.
I would hope that the executives in the Rockets organization would respect their loyal fans hatred for the Jazz and Karl Malone, and would refrain from entertaining Malone with any offer.
I would rather see the Rockets in last place next season than to see Karl Malone on our new and improved, new uniforms, new arena, Rockets team.

The only reason that Karl Malone would leave Utah is if he wants to be on a championship contender. Not pretenders!

Karl Malone has said he'd be interested in playing with the Lakers, Dallas, and San Antonio. So whichever way he goes, it still hurts us. He may be 40, but he's in shape and he still has game. Hell, when your best move is kicking your leg out when you shoot to "draw a foul," you can probably play 'til your 50!

respect the rockets fans hatred of the jazz? thats absolutely stupid, i hate the JAZZ but i will accept any player that makes our team better, if you cant get over your little childish hatred in the interest of the team then thats just sad, so I dont really care but for me, I'd take him! b/c he's good, and thats all that matters

I REALLY hate the Jazz, but Malone is a great player and the kind of player the Rockets need in my opinion.

Um, thread starter, you probably got this idea that Malone might be coming to the Rockets from a recent article in the Chronicle by Feigen.

It was a tongue-in-cheek article. There is probably a 0.01% chance of the Mailman coming to Houston, so you can rest easy.

    NEVER!

This team needs a coach and a true point guard - Malone is neither and I hate him anyway

I should start a thread for this, but WHY IS EVERYONE WANTING A VETERAN?

Name me one thing a veteran brings to the table.

All the excuses John Fiegan brought up about a veteran or Karl malone, can be solved by bringing in a new coach.

If the players need "leadership" ,then thats the coaches responsibility to lead them.

If the players need "guidence",then once again, thats what a coach is supposed to do.
    Rudy doesnt do this.

Thats why everyone here agrees with me that he is best suited to coach veterans, its because he has no CLUE how to guide or lead ,or coach. He needs pippen, hakeem, barkley, malone to run the team since he has no clue how to do it.

If the current players are uncoachable, then the solution is not to bring in a veteran, then solution is to trade the uncoachable players.

    NO KARL MALONE.

Thats the "short term " solution. Thats not a long term solution. He would retire in one year, and the rockets would right back were they are now with trying to rebuild.
REBUILD with young players and keep them for the LONG term.

I will NEVER watch a Single rockets game if Karl Malone is in a Rockets Uniform. Same goes for Pippen and Jalen Rose.

Why do we hate the Jazz so much? They were my favorite stepping stone to both championships. Heck, I basically like the Knicks and the Magic. Can't imagine why.
