Jeremy Lin says he's OK with being Rockets' 6th Man

Too bad his fanboys can't handle it with class. I like Lin, but holy **** I understand why so many people on here trash him, his fans are ridiculous.

To be honest, no one can. Bev is good at injuring the opponent's PG, just ask Westbrook. Bev is an annoying defender, but that doesn't mean he can stop Rose or anyone.

Is he a better defender than Lin? Yes. It won't be crucial to Rocket's success though. It is only part of the picture. It's how well Bev meshes with the starting lineup (if he gets that role) that is crucial to the success of the team.

If Bev doesn't have chemistry with D12, he's going back to the bench.

You have a 2010 join date. I presume you must be in your early 20s or younger. I must have supported the Rockets for at least half your life if not more. If you are older than 25.... then it clearly does not reflect in your postings.

If that's what they do, that would mean their not any smarter or better than the LOF's, because they are tearing down the team when they trash a player for no reason.

6th man in this context, is a superfluous euphemism for bench player or backup point guard.

No, he will not get "30 minutes", not he will not be "6th man of the year" (Reggie Jackson?), he will not "end the 4th quarter".

Expect some games for him to play 12-15 minutes. Maximum minutes he'll be playing is 25minutes.

Average of around 20 minutes.

But if this means that the Rocket's win a championship, I don't think it matters.

Lin has been demoted. It is disingenuous to suggest otherwise.

 

Probably, but be positive you should believe he will get 30+ minutes, 18+ ppg, 8+ asst and he will end 4th quarter.

 

DRose is MVP level.....Lillard drops close to 20 a game....nobody stops these guys on a consistent basis.

That said if his minutes hover around the same, his numbers may actually go up so LOF may rejoice.

I'm more interested in seeing if Bev can keep that intensity for the whole game. When he started last post-season, Reggie Jackson had his way with him.

 

We should trade our bench away for Novak, Fields, Shump, and any big who can finish around the rim.

 

This is r****ded to say. He's done fine against those guards historically.

 

I think the worse result will be that Lin does not even play some games and ends up with very inconsistent minutes.

The best result, will not be 30mpg 18/8 etc...that is unrealistic with a team with such high offensive capabilities. At best, it will be a 20 point game here and there, but an average over the next season of 11ppg/5a in 22 minutes.

Parker has already said Lin is where he was early in his career. I wonder what Nash thinks of Lin. I know the majority of people here don't seem to think he's a star player in the making, but I wonder what other players think of him.
