I hope so but I am not holding my breath on either of those two. DMo seems to me to be too thin and too weak of a defender, and lacking any real sort of confidence in his game. He talks a big talk but never seems to back it up - and that's a bit of a red flag. T Jones has moments but that's the problem, they are just moments. It's too bad we had to give up Robinson. Too bad we couldn't package Robinson with Asik for LMA. Oh well.

Let's hope Portland sucks out of the gate, the owner panics, and swaps us LMA for Asik. Let's pray.

Sounds good to me. I would love to see Jones or DMo excel, but we'll see if that is the case this year. If not, then would be great to get LMA.

I don't care who is starting PG or if this combo is lethal. I want this whole team to just play TEAM BALL. Thats all i ask for. Make each other better. WCF then Finals. #RedNation

Not going to happen as footage from practice indicates that Rockets want Harden and Howard to develop that kind of chemistry. Seems like Howard gets a lot more practice time with Beverley than Lin. I doubt Lin will gel with Howard.

I would think they would gel together quite nicely. Both seem to be gifted PNR players. Maybe they don't need the practice as much.

Honestly, I don't think Howard wants to play PNR, he is the best PNR big but it seems like he wants to be recognized as a great post up player. I personally don't think his post moves will get any better even with Mchale and The Dream.

He will improve incrementally. But he needs to improve his FT shooting and at least have some minimal go-to move with touch in the post in order to be a consistent threat worthy of being double teamed. Otherwise, he just plows to the basket, and if he doesn't completely blow by his man or get stripped, someone within reach will just grab him and send him to the line.

I want to see more small ball line up. PB&J with Howard, Harden and Parsons.

Agree with you. He will never be a great post up player. The PNR wil be run whether he likes it or not. I think that anti-PNR stemmed from the DAntoni and Kobe drama.

PNR with Kobe basically amounts to setting a pick for a Kobe jumpshot.

D-Will and John Wall are different in that their pedigrees are impeccable. They were touted as future NBA superstars from the moment they entered college, and all the scouts knew that they had a great chance of becoming excellent players (as evidenced by their high draft positions).

Jeremy Lin is like the nouveau riche country bumpkin who only got to join the brandy club because he somehow struck oil on his farm. Or that's how some people perceive him. He just doesn't belong (whether it be his race, his school, whatever), and they don't want to believe that the system could've been so wrong. They NEED him to fail.

Yeah but it's only Lin fans that start crap right? Yawn. And hey bro, as far as a Bev/Howard deadly combo, you will be waiting forever on that one

I'll settle for a Millsap or Monroe if those teams are not going anywhere.

Kevin Love is the best PF and LMA one of Top 5 at this position but they are harder to get.

I don't care if Beverley or Lin pass the ball to Howard, I want the Rockets to win. They will all play together. And fans of one Rockets player arguing against fans of another Rockets player are idiots. It's about the team. Lin gets it. I think Beverley gets it. Some fans do not.

It's about creating the most amount of wins.

Lin's role however, is nothing more than a backup point guard to Beverly now. He has been usurped and will share minutes with Aaron Brooks.
