[Friedman] A statistical glimpse at the Rockets' dominant preseason performance

Wow. Those numbers are... jaw dropping. Those are "Holy $hit, this can't be real" numbers. And they were just experimenting. So many options, and they are almost all good.

This is going to be a very fun season.

Barring injuries, of course...

 

Despite the great numbers the Asik-Howard connection put up, I just saying be cautious because they played the Spurs without Ginobili and Kawhi. They also played a Grizzlies team that just looked pathetic. Optimism is great but just remember it's the pre-season and neither of those teams were at their best.

 

The real take away from all this

Is that the Rockets should do well against the spread!! Bet on Red this year folks

 

The Paparazzi and TMZ are starting to hover. Lot's to see this year.

 

We had more to prove than most teams in preseason, definitely more to prove than other established contenders #grainofsalt

 

Throw caution to the wind. Small sample aside, what I saw in the Memphis and San Antonio games was total confusion, consternation, hopelessness when they try to score on us. Meanwhile, on the other side, we got hot and blew the game wide open. That is the blue print to success this year against the vast majority of teams.

 

The Rox made the Pacers look pathetic too (twice!) and also the Pelicans (decent young team).

 

Did you see Popovich blow up in that interview? You could tell he was frustrated. I almost felt sorry for the Memphis coach, it was such a blowout.

 

Preseason is the preseason, even scrubs can look good.....extrapolating anything from this is a waste of time.
