I gave him C+ and here is my reason:

Unlike EG, we did see his improvement, and he is our leading scorer of the season.

But, he dont deserve the higher points because of his insistence of ball dribbling, stupid and sometime crucial turnover, PG with worst turnover / assist rate, fail to step up when team need its leader the most, improper talk about team management and bad altitude for unwilling to adjust.

    anymore?

What a waste of a max contract...I'm so disappointed in his play, he had a ton of bad games this year and really didn't seem to run the team well. Steve was a better player 2 years ago then he is now, what the heck happened to him? :(

    Francis is NOT an "F"

Francis is a good kid. For that alone he gets at least a B-. If he was smarter he would be an A-.

    C+

I would have rated him higher, if he didn't get an "F" in my book for his piss poor defense. At least pretend that you're awake on the defensive end, Steve...

    I gave him a VERY GENEROUS B-.

    Why?

He's managed to cut his turnovers down to 3.7 per game.

And he's been playing better defense.

If he did none of these things, I would have giving him a C which equate to a player that does 50% good things, and 50% bad things.
Steve is around 65% , 35% now. An improvement, but still a ways to go.

Why don't we rate ROCKETS' HATERS? I bet they'd vote themselves in, too.

think of where we'd be without him...

"A"-whether you like him or not, u cant deny the overall numbers he puts up. Very few people average over 20 ppg and over 6 rebs and 6 assts.

Actually the 65% good 35% bad is a good way to grade a player.

If you look at the elite players they are going to be around 95% good, which means they bring it at both ends of the court all the time no matter what.

    Players like...
    Kobe
    Jordan
    T-Mac
    Garnett
    Duncan

I think the rating scale should slide a little based on salary so Steve is graded on the A scale and scores between a C and a D.

    B or B+

He leads the team in points, assists, and steals. He is an NBA superstar! He started in the All Star Game. He does need to work on lowering his turnovers (ranks #2 in turnovers/game and total turnovers behind Jason Kidd). He has also been in the 500-500 club, rebounds/assists in a year. This is only his 4th season, and Ming's 1st. Given 2 or 3 more years we can get into and compete strongly in the playoffs. I love the Rockets, and I am disappointed that we played badly down the stretch. But where are you going to find me next year, and the year after that, and the year after that? In the new arena cherring on the Rox, win or lose!

Please people, Stop bashing on Steve Francis. (*Note: not intented only towards Sever Rockets Fan)
He is the best player that we have right now. Better than Yao Ming (plus with more heart)

BTW, CATO is my favorite rocket right now. Please keep him!
also don't give up on Eddie.

Well, I wasn't using grade school scale.

It was just a percentage of how much good things he does vs bad things.
