Ironically, Lin did not have a choice but to attend Harvard if he wanted a guaranteed shot at playing college BBall. Imagine that.
Simple deduction: if Harden can't bring his best friend, Patrick Beverley, then Parsons can't bring his too. Also, maybe it's a Dwight thing where today is his turn to bond with Harden and Parsons. Next up, Lin and Beverley. Anyway, if you're serious, those are my two best answers
or maybe one of Lin and Bev is not available so they decided not to invite the other one since the starting pg hasn't been resolved yet, they didn't want to look like they were giving special attetion to one
He's probably still mad at Howard. Kidding aside, never seen/heard any pictures/anecdote of Omer hanging with teammates outside the court.
I thought the same thing about debt; took a well-known public university that gave me a majority scholarship(I ended out paying about a little more than a semester's worth based off of FAFSA and some private loans) over a 2nd tier private college that would've netted me in about 200k in debt once you factor in cost of living. Fortunately, I walked out clean with now 2 high-paying jobs in the O&G sector of Houston. I'm paying my small(under 13.5k total) debt progressively and should be done with it in Spring of 2014. Though, if I could re-do things that pedigree holds a LOT of weight. I could've gotten better jobs, better marketing, etc. but yes paid a lot more in debt. Of my friends in the 2012 graduating class, I know maybe 2-3 that went my route and are saved by not having large debt so their job pay is quite low. but of my dozen friends that chose the alternate route, they are all much higher up than I am. Much higher up, that networking forming at an Ivy or 2nd tier Ivy puts you at another tier. You meet your classmates parents, connections which get you internships, brand name recognition, access to top MBA programs based off of great rec's. 3 of them are already MBA candidates for the 2015 class in Stanford, 1 got accepted into Wharton's school fully funded by grants/scholarshops in 2014. The others are in bulge brackets doing IB work making 6 figures +. None seem to be struggling with paying debt, yes it costs you about 1-1.5k a month but it's not bad in relative nature when you are taking home 6k after tax. All of them make signifcantly more money than I do, and as a 2012 grad, I'd say I'm in the top 5% of what recent grads make. Those guys are in the top 1%. 1st world problems. But acceptance into Ivy or 2nd tier ivy; with some ability to procure funding is the best route to go. It's just another level they are at, they already widened the gap between soph-junior year and every year since they are going further than I am, but I know I'm every bit as good. Just when you look at two people's resumes and all variables being the same; let's say one goes to University of Michigan, the other goes to Northwestern. Northwestern gets the nod.
