This is a thread to hear anyone's offseason suggestions, that includes all those stupid trade ideas too. Here's mine: Let's somehow incorporate a chain net into our logo, then we need to re-model our new arena after Rucker Park. If we're going to be playing streetball again next season, we might as well provide a fitting atmosphere for it. Disclaimer: Please don't take this any more seriously than those "Francis for Miller" threads.
The atmosphere at Compaq Center the last 3-4 years has resembled a minor league baseball team and we kept on losing. So lets just go back to the winning formula of the early to mid 90's! I know for a fact that Les enjoys his post-game interviews on National TV to pick up the championship trophy. Maybe he became to content with the 4 trophy's the Comets gave him from 1997-2000 that he could forgive the Rockets.
Yep...maybe somehow we can get all the players to get sick ass "And 1" tats. They should all at least give each other good street baller names. Maybe Yao can be "Too Tall wit it" and Steve can be "TO"...yep...you got it...turnovers.
this is my suggestion: that the got damn rox management quit trading for players just because of their potential, talent, and scoring ability. ALL WE NEED IS ROLE PLAYERS!!!! WE HAVE ENOUGH SCORERS!!! even though the rox championship teams weren't exciting, they got the job done. i'm willing to have a boring team if it means playoff contention.
My ROCKETS Offseason To Do List Re-evaluate the Rockets offense or get a new coaching staff! (more motion, passing and cutting). Try to trade for a 3rd star type player (i.e. Elton Brand). Facilitate Eddie Griffin & Bostjan Nachbar in having major offseason improvements in their game. Via trade or FA find a 3rd guard (no moochie). Add another "veteran player" into the rotation. Re-sign Posey ONLY at a decent salary rate, otherwise let him go. Use Cato, Rice (expiring contract) and possibly Mobley as trade bait to aquire better talented players (see above) to fit around Yao's and Francis' games. Only trade Griffin for a star type player. Look for Quality over Quantity.
man, deuce... you get extra power points for making your offseason suggestions look like a resume or something. it's too early and it's a monday morning. chill man!
LOL. Priceless parody of those lame streetballers wasting theirs and everyone else's time on those ESPN segments. The other suggestions about bringing in role players sounds like the right track. There's too much talk about us losing our pick, but we don't need any more undeveloped potential - we now need immediate impact players that will improve our team play.
