Are any of you worried about chemistry issues with Asik being unhappy?

In a word...No.

 

I don't care what he is thinking at this point. Midseason, when he realizes that teams just straight up struggle with Dwight and himself in the game, thought will go away.

They looked tough to score on when they were in together tonight. I think the experiment is over. Now it's time to hone the choice of when to play them together.

 

There were a few moments where Omer was playing against Duncan tonight that made me drop my jaw. His footwork on defense completely shut Duncan down. He was forced to pass the ball each time.

Bottom line: Omer in the game and we're +13 against the conference champs.

 

Except for that $25 million contract.

 

The coaches notice. That is a given.

 

After this game, it's clear he's gonna average least 25 mins time. Of which 15-18 mins would be without Howard and so he can grab some boards and get a couple dunks. His numbers will plummet but no GM in the league with half a brain won't throw money at him come free agency. Plus we'll be winning more this year. I don't see how he could be too much more upset than last year.

 

On D, he could be Perkins (post D) and Dwight Ibaka (help D). On O vice versa but way better. Practice the jump shot Omer!

I completely agree !
I don't want him to get traded but for sure (and understandably) he looked a little pissed for that bump... this was his RB.... but that's ok, competition was never a bad thing.... but let's hope he sees how important he is and can be for the team and we'll be fine ....

 

Asik looked more upset at himself. He was winded and he missed/was blocked on a lot of close range shots.

 

Fine then if Asik isn't happy let's trade him for KD..

i'll care about how he feels when he learns to catch and finish around the basket. 7'1" and is always getting blocked, ridiculous. if he can't understand that we weren't going anywhere with a big man of his limited skills and physical ability then he's deluded.

 

Lets keep in mind it was his 2nd game...

 

Yes he didn't really made an Impact on offense but still finished with a team-leading plus/minus of plus +13(That is the same number Dwight has)

But I think he should be traded too,A Millsap/Asik deal would be great

 

I feel like its over exaggerated because we know of Asik's disappointment and it's clouding our perception. I think if we look back to video of last season we'd find that he has a very similar demeanor.

I still think it's probable that he's a little upset even though he is still starting but I don't see any resulting chemistry issues.

 

Should've pulled the trigger on a trade earlier. Asik's trade value has clearly already declined, and will continue to decline as long as he sees less of the court and we see less of his strengths.

This was inevitable. I can only assume that either Morey made a poor choice, or there was really no decent PF to acquire in a trade.

 

Am I worried? No

 

Unhappy? ...Getting paid and winning will cover a multitude of sins.....

I think he's gonna be ok honestly. Once he gets enough playing time and sees that he's actually very important to the team. As long as he's not riding the bench you know what I mean? He could very well be our 6th man if you will. As far as him not being animated and loud and all that, that was never him. Even starting.
