    howard is a 3 headed beast, defensive player of the year for sure. no way the grungy pillsburry doughboy over in memphis wins it over him this season.

    Third quarter has been a treat. We've seen a lot of pick and roll because of how the Spurs are guarding Harden. Howard has looked great in those situations. And the best play: Harden on the break dumps it to Parsons and points toward Beverly and the defender picks up Beverly while Parsons gets the dunk.

    My God. It is baffling to me that no one has figured out a way to stop that stepback. Or even to anticipate it sometimes. If the shot clock is winding down and Harden starts crossing you up, the stepback IS coming. Period.

    Defensively, it's kind of funny to watch the Spurs players start taking it to the rim only to quickly change their minds when they see Howard and Asik waiting there for them...

    SOOO MUCH DEEEEFENSE! Can't go there it's Howard, ooops can't go there it's Asik! The league has no idea whats coming. Howard is smiling and Harden looks like a kid with candy and a pocket full of money.
