This time Kemp wasn't dogging it

Poor Shawn Kemp. Even his Blazers teammates jump to conclusions about his eating habits.

After his team's victory at Detroit last week, Blazers guard Greg Anthony ordered a ballboy to get him and Kemp hot dogs from the concession stand, only to find his hot dog missing when he got back from his shower.

"Where's my hot dog?" Anthony asked.

"I think Shawn ate it," Damon Stoudamire said with a chuckle as all eyes turned toward Kemp's locker stall, vacant except for a large black duffel bag on the chair.

"You should have known better," Bonzi Wells added. "You leave a hot dog in front of Shawn, and all that's left when you get back is the wrapper."

Eventually one of the players looked inside Kemp's bag to find Anthony's hot dog, still intact. Kemp had eaten his own hot dog, but had placed Anthony's in the bag for safe-keeping while Anthony went to the shower.

I wish people would leave athletes alone. I mean we dont make fun of fat people when we see them on the streets do we? Athletes are people too. But Im no saint. I've made fun of Baker at a game. But I felt so bad I havent done it since.

Actually, a lot of people do make fun of fat people when they see them on the streets.

And the funny thing is that compared to normal people(by normal i mean non-pro athlete), the Kemps and Bakers of the league are in very good health.

Actually, seeing Shawn Kemp during the game against the Timberwolves yesterday, he seems to have slimmed down a lot. He's not like he was in Seattle, but he's not as bad as he was at the beginning of the year either.

Kemp was one of the best power forwards, if ont best in his early years.

If he could even slim down to 240-250, it would do wonders for his game.

What would do wonders for his game would be him getting more PT and becoming an offensive go-to guy.

S_F_R, The two guys in front of him are better than him. Wallace and Davis. If they want to play him at the five that would work, but he is a little undersized.

I know that Wallace and maybe even davis are better than kemp, i'm just saying he could still produce if given the chance.

Wow, never thought I'd see "undersized" being used to describe Kemp. [IMG]

Well he's done it to himself. He had every chance in the world to be on a winning team and to be the go-to guy. He's the one who chose to go to Cleveland cause he cared more about getting a big contract than about winning. I don't feel sorry for him at all...

He still has the chance to be part of a winning team.

I meant height. Most 6-10 centers at least have the athleticism to make up for it, but kemp doesn't.

If he could use his bulk to push shaq around, that would be fine.
