Multiple sources around the league have reported in the last month that Denver has put out targeted feelers on Faried, gauging his value and demanding very good return. The Nuggets, for their part, deny they've put Faried's name out there at all. Faried is entering the third season of his four-year rookie deal, and given his per-game numbers, he figures to get paid on his next contract. If the Nuggets believe Faried has hit his ceiling, and that his game lacks the all-around polish Brian Shaw has said he wants from his big men, it would make sense for Denver to see what it can get. Let's be clear: Faried has a lot of value, and no trade is ever "likely"; there are just too many roadblocks to go that far. But I'm smelling something here T jones and a pick for Faried? What do you think?
He does everything we don't need from a starting PF on this team. We need a PF that can hit a mid range jumper and command double teams from time to time. Faried is overrated by many and it's the reason the nuggets are looking to dump him while his hype is high. He will suck this year in Shaw's offense.
It was from Zach Lowe earlier in the day. No to Faried. He obviously increases our talent, but it won't mesh at all. He's a bad defender, can't shoot, can't hit free throws.
You can flip him later, that may be exactly what another teams needs, as a GM you just go after best players that are Availabe and him in fast breaks and rebounds won't hurt anything
This isn't rebuilding Rockets anymore. They would be foolish to trade for him in those circumstances. If this was last season, they may have traded for Faried.
He is not a fit for this team. His main ability is grabbing boards and we currently have enough of that. He's just not a fit but is a very good player.
I think Faried is a terrific PF. He's not a go to offensive player but the guy would be great on a running team like the Rockets. If Asik has to be traded Faried would be close to fair value IMO.
