We talkin' bout practice, man. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/d29VsG35DQM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
He has always been a calm and relax practice player but when the lights come on he has always benn the best player on the court. Until furthur notice I still have 1. Wiggins 2. Randle 3. Exum 4. Parker Then everyone else...
I've been saying it all along, he's not the prospect people are making him out to be, specially when they compare him to guys like Lebron or Durant. Sure the guy has elite athleticism, but that's the only promising aspect of his game. Every other aspect of his game is average or below average. To put him in the same class as Lebron or Durant, as mere prospects, its just setting Wiggins up to fail. He's good prospect, could be a great prospect, but he's certainly not a "once in a generation" type of prospect.
Elite athleticism is such a huge deal in basketball. And to say every aspect of his game is average or below is ridiculous. He is an above average ball handler for a guy his size and he is going to be one of the best finishers around the rim in the country next year. Wiggins has probably never needed a jump shot so it's no shock that that is something that he is going to have to develop. Some people are expecting Jesus to step on the court when he plays so of course there are going to be people out there saying he isn't what they expected. Wiggins is still the guy to bet on.
Damn! Lebron dominated college and didn't even play! Seriously though, this happens every year now in the internet age and one college year age. Now a kid has to prove himself in college, and we've seen guys go into college as top 5 sure fire picks...drop and drop. So now Wiggins has to live up to his hype in college before that hype carries over to the NBA. Not surprised that some scouts and execs would cool on him after learning that he may be another just extremely physically gifted player that still has to add a lot of skill to his game...although from what I've seen *coughhighlighttapescough* it seemed to me he was a pretty skilled player...guess we will find out when the college season starts.
Dante Exum is the one to keep your eye on. He barely turn 18 in July and he is just getting stronger and more explosive with maturity. I still think Wiggins will put it all together once the Kansas season starts. Coach Bill Self is working with him to tinkering his game. He is going to be a beast at Kansas no doubt. Is silly to bet against him already. Good thing about him being calm is he won't choke like Lebron did early in his career.
I really wish "Busty Wiggins" was another clever CH title, showcasing something of this nature: ...but I was disappoint. Anyway, it was one practice, guys. I'm sure Self and staff will work with Wiggins on every facet of his game.
this is stupid. get a life people, it was practice the only reason I opened this is because I read the SI article and realized he was mitch wiggins's son
Kansas may have 2 of the top five draft picks in the NBA on their current roster. Sigh. Or do you all not follow NCAA hoops?
I hope Mr. Wiggins is such a "bust" that Morey somehow manages to get him. I'm not holding my breath.
The thought of playing Wiggins as a 4 or at the point with Harden and Dwight is making me salivate. That's something that only happens in 2k, or the '80s.
