Will Adrian Peterson break the single season rushing record

    he was like less than 10 yards from breaking Eric Dickerson's record last season.

    Will he do this year ? or will the defenses focus more on AP than last year which would be basically 9 in the box .:grin:

    Typically after a huge year like that there is a fall off. I expect AP to be good this year, but if I had to pick between him breaking the record OR not even leading the league in rushing, I'd go with the latter.

    O.J. Simpson: 14 games 270 att 1125 yards 3 tds 4.2 per carry
    Eric Dickerson: 14 games 292 att 1234 yards 12 tds 4.2 per carry

    He won't break this record. Nor will he break any of emmitt smith's career records.

    He did state before the season he will break emmitt's all time rushing record. Waaaaaay easier said then done.

    Side note emmitt also has the playoff all time rushing lead as well.

    Although this year he has to overcome his poor son passing.
