Im fine with this, provided Lin's stats are eligible for 6th man of the year.

Ah I forgot about baseball. Mainly because Astros suck.
While its true you don't switch the quarterbacks Houston isn't the traditional basketball team. Our 1 and 2 should be defined as just guards rather than point and shooting since they both play the same responsiblity in this offense. Some might even say that Harden is the quarterback hence why he we don't change him.

That's debatable. Lin could start for several teams, especially those in the EC, but it's doubtful that Beverley would be a starter on any team except this one. Lin hasn't reached his prime yet, at least not for another 2 years. His ceiling still remains to be seen.

If Lin starts shooting 40% from three and improves his defense than he is a borderline all-star consideration. Hardly bench-worthy.

I really hope McHale does choose a starter whether it be Lin or Beverley for the entire season. Having them switch it up every few games or so throughout the season will just mess up chemistry and we'll never get into the flow of things.

not really, you do have the best center in the league in the team. It is unfortunate, but it is clear cut.

Whereas in case of Jeremy, it is totally different, Beverley as PG is no comparison there to what DH is as center.

The games starting in 30min! Given the sad state of affairs that is Giants football, I know which channel will be getting more airtime tonight.

I could debate that Lin could start over CP3. It's debatable but it's idiotic as well.

I'm sure though Lin could possibly start for other teams. I find it hilarious though that you find it debatable that he would start for several teams, but its a firm fact that Beverly can only start for this team. Not only that but specifically mention Lin not reaching his prime while pretending Beverly is frozen in time.

    Brilliant.

Can we stop perpetuating this myth?

McHale isn't rotating starters because he thinks Jeremy Lin is "bench-worthy". He is trying to experiment with different line-ups so that he could maximize the effectiveness of both players because they are both terrific players.

The thing with Beverly as a starter is that he thrives with a ball dominant SG (exactly like Harden). I doubt he'd be nearly as effective an overall player on a team that would need him to be a decent playmaker for your team

We were talking about Lin, so that's what I ended with. Plus, I think you completely misread what I wrote.

jlin needs to step it up this year. Bev's already proved himself in the playoffs.

He talked about Lin not starting around the league; you responded by mentioning Lin could but Beverly couldn't.

    Media is trolling Clutchfans. Lol

A couple of weeks ago, the pg preference of Dwight.

Now, two starting point guards. Wth

IMHO, I think they will let go of Jlin. The two point guards system is just an excuse. They probably want Beverley to get comfortable with the starting line-up so that it's not going to be too disruptive if decided to let go of Jlin.

No. Howard is a superstar and Asik has to go to the bench (or PF). If the Rockets somehow got Chris Paul, I would have no problems with Lin going to the bench.

You can't deny lin's ability to create for others. you can't deny bev's energy. It's very mario elie like. Mcsolomon just has to do the wise thing and play them both. with the minute distribution for tonight's game, it shouldn't matter who starts.
