It's hard to judge Troy's game. Yes he has potential, his game reminds me of Gary Neal. But what are his stats on defense, passing, rebounding ? These highlights can be misleading, hopefully he is a well-rounded player who can do other stuff besides catch and shoot. Can he defend his man at the other end ?
I think this has to do with the Rockets two rookies they have look real bad. Neither of them has hit a jumpshot and look overmatch out there. Why not cut both Canaan and Covington ?!? Keep Reggie Williams he is an upgrade over James Anderson... Tried to find a couple of youngters through a much stronger draft in 2014 draft.
Morey just mentioned Thursday, during his interview, that they look for college players who have one elite level skill and hope they can develop the rest. Daniel's elite skill is shooting and Morey is hoping he can develop the defense , passing, and rebounding.
According to Feigen, we have to cut 3 players by 28/10 because of this signing. Good chance that we're going to cut Reggie Williams as well as Brewer and then Smith / Camby.

Daniels, Canaan, Williams will get cut? Or Daniels, Canaan and Camby? Or Daniels, Williams and Camby? I don't see Brewer getting cut. He's too good of a veteran. I think McHale really likes him too.
