    To be fair, it was something that Obama and, I believe, Dianne Feinstein, asked for. McConnell didn't ask for it and wasn't involved.

    Yes and no. This wasn't really "pork" that was squeezed into the bill in the sense that it was already approved by both houses of Congress. I have no idea why it needed to be included.

    But as far as tea partiers, yes, they hate this type of stuff. But they are being consistent here - they are the ones attacking McConnell over this. McConnell is hated by the tea party types.
