Mitch McConnell got $2.1 billion for a Kentucky Dam in the final bill

To be fair, it was something that Obama and, I believe, Dianne Feinstein, asked for. McConnell didn't ask for it and wasn't involved.

I am for infrastructure projects if they pass the merit test. I don't know whether this is a greater priority than some of the nations bridges though, wikki does not make it sound like it is.

Yes and no. This wasn't really "pork" that was squeezed into the bill in the sense that it was already approved by both houses of Congress. I have no idea why it needed to be included.

But as far as tea partiers, yes, they hate this type of stuff. But they are being consistent here - they are the ones attacking McConnell over this. McConnell is hated by the tea party types.
