This was true of Mirsad Türkcan when we picked him over Rashard Lewis and Cuttino Mobley. Royce didn't do great in the D-League but now he is going to take it serious because he learned how to make Flat Whites and Cortados. Even if he parts the Red Sea the Rockets will be fine and will not miss him. He is as big a gamble as there is out there. So what if another team wins the lottery and Royce plays well? I still feel the Rockets made the right decision.
Yep. This guy should never be offered more than a 2yr contract with a team option for second year. I don't know if they do this in the NBA, but the contract should be incentive laden based on him playing and not missing games because he's afraid to fly. You know what it takes to be in the NBA, so stop making excuses. I know anxiety is real, but I'm not going to be scared of ocean water but then agree to take a cruise.
I read an interview recently where he admitted that he hadn't worked out much over the summer and that he was still trying to get into shape. It amazes me how someone on the brink like this could show up to camp out of shape. Anxiety is no excuse to be lazy. I have a feeling he's of the Tracy McGrady mold: plenty of talent, little work ethic.
If it is an away game in H-Town, he probably won't even make the game. If he does, I vote for Clutch. Maybe he can do the airplane around White and shove a pie in his face when he breaks down.

You know I thought the 76ers wouldn't cut him because that team is so bad and financially he doesn't cost them anything but after today I'm not so sure. He started and scored 2 points on 1-4, 4rbs and had the worst +/- of -28 in 25mins of play. The 76ers had scored 30 pts in the middle of the 3rd qtr when he left the game.
