Every pass seems to be less than 10 yrds

Never throwing any 'deep shots' is killing us

I lol'd when after a pass short of the 1st on 3rd down behind by bajillion points, they cut to the Packers-Ravens highlight where Rodgers throws a deep, deep bomb to Nelson who ran it in for a TD.

Schaub doesn't have the arm for it. He's not Flacco, Stafford or Rodgers.

right after the texans game ended. i was watching the green bay vs ravens game and even Flacco threw a deep ball so effortlessly down 9.

As long as a defense only Has to defend 15 yrds of field
    . . . . interceptions will come

That is true but Kubiak enforcing this on the other QBs probably to make the transition between Schaub to the others as easy as possible is also a issue. The West Coast style offense is based around these intermediate routes but Kubiak seems to have locked too much on the safer aspects of the system rather then build it to fit his more talented players.

    If Keenan plays
Will he be allowed to pass it more than 10 yrds?'

QB doesn't matter if the plays are the same

And we don't even necessarily have to connect on those deep passes. Simply attempting them every once in a while will force the defense to account for it and open up the intermediate passing game. If you never show the defense something, they're going to key in on other things. The more looks you show them, the less they can account for on any given play.

it was obvious schaub had something wrong with his arm. i'm a kubiak backer but his hanging on to schaub was getting down right weird

Don't confuse scheme with execution. Just because Schaub isn't looking deep doesn't mean WRs aren't running deep routes - are you honestly suggesting his 3-4 receivers per play are *all* running 5-yard routes? The clock in Schaub's head is ticktickticking too fast and he's immediately checking down; he's been doing it since NE last year. But go back and watch a game prior to his meltdown - the deep ball is absolutely a part of this offense if the QB has the guts to throw it.

You know what Morey would say, right? That the deep ball is the lowest % play in football. Just sayin'.

Morey would have much more autonomy than Rick Smith. He also would have went all in for Manning

You sir are 100% correct, go rewatch the game, AJ and Hopkins are running downfield, they even look to be wide open in some plays but Schaubby takes the quick drop off to Graham down the middle.

I could have sworn in past seasons I've seen Schaub hang in the pocket and deliver a decently long pass moments before getting demolished. Does anyone else remember this?

I feel like Schaub has actually regressed from a higher level he used to perform at, particularly as it relates to feeling pressure in the pocket.
