Circus performer Jayde Hanson – who set a world knife-throwing record only days ago – left his assistant with a gashed scalp after a blade hit her. Stunned This Morning presenter Fern Britton rushed over to check the shaken woman and screeched: “Oh my God, there’s blood.” Hanson, 23, was demonstrating his skills on Yana Rodianova, his girlfriend, during the ITV1 show, throwing as many knives in a minute as he could without hitting her. But with just nine seconds to go she was hurt as the blade caught the top of her head. Rodianova was visibly shaken, cowering as further knives were launched and losing her previously fixed grin. Three seconds before his time ran out, Hanson – who managed 67 knives – stopped the stunt, and his assistant put her hand to her head, clasping the spot where she was caught. He then rushed over to check how she was. Co-presenter Phillip Schofield blurted: “She’s got a cut – she does have a cut.” Britton warned viewers: “Don’t try it.” Rodianova was led off the show still holding the left side of her head as the show cut to a break. The pair are with the Cottle And Austin Electric Circus A spokeswoman for the programme said: “She’s fine – it was just a nick to the head. Health And Safety are standing by. “A nurse tended to her and she was fine.”
Speaking of Reality TV... Anyone catch "All-American Girl" on ABC? Isn't that the worst show ever? My God... Also anyone catch the winners of Are You Hot? I can think of 5 chicks at UH alone that are hotter than the chick that won it all... That chick's gross...
I wonder if Ms. Rodianova was on one of those big spinning wheels while the knives were being thrown, that makes it much more exciting.
