Did the Rockets trade Dwight Howard, Jeremy Lin, Asik and Kevin McHale for Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Scott Brooks? Harden as the 6th man makes complete sense, now.
I wouldn't go as far as saying Lin being the top 2 players on the team; however, the reason why I suggest having him on the starter instead of Beverley is because he(beverly) hasn't even hit the rookie wall yet. Lets say he starts in the beginning of the season, gets comfortable with the rest of the starters. Then suddenly he hits the wall. Then what do we do? Put Lin back onto the starting lineup? That will just further complicate things, and cause major chaos here on Clutchfans. I truly believe Lin hit his rookie wall last year when he had that rough patch. However, most fans on clutchfans believe that period in time was Lin's actual potential. This is why I believe Lin should be on the starting line up. All this is just my opinion. People are free to agree or disagree.
rule out any possibility only because he is star is ridiculous, he can do whatever he like he still get whatever he want just because the contract? are you implying a max contract=the guy cant be freely utilized by the coaching staff, the flexibility of the line up is pretty much locked up, so they cant get the best out of the team? say if in the final the match up require a manu like guy to win the title and the star is the best fit, come off the bench and finish off the game, that we have the best odd to win, but only because his contract coaching staff cant do it? if coach need to do it in playoff for the championship, why cant they experiment it during preseason and regular season to find out the chemistry? i am sorry man, this max contract star=untouchable is full of crap. no matter roll player or star, they need to work for the best interest of the team, for the championship. what makes Lebron, Hakeem a true star different to other "stars" is the champion title. even MJ23 need to break through the detroit bad boys to prove himself. the regular max contract "stars"? meh. get a title first then talk about the privilege."OMG WE GOT A STAR HE IS UNTOUCHABLE GIVE HIM FREE PASS".oh boy, first day watch NBA?
Why not attack Asian fans when one can hide behind the mouse and keyboard. There is no one can police the silliness.
Ha ha. So OP got a laugh by generating about 160 clueless posts. I took him seriously and read OP twice. Only problem: his real opinion is hardly worthy of a thread. This is simply trolling. We've seriously got enough garbage without this.
Yes Chairman Kim! they all will be send to gulag immediately and mine uranium for our great nuclear project!
Just saw this thread for the first time... Holy crap. Mind is blown that this idea is even thought of...
What if we had Harden AND Dwight on the second unit and let Lin and Asik start? Then they could score a bunch of points on the other team's backups and we will win all the games! /sarcasm
if in a long season guys are in fatigue why the coaching staffs cant fully utilize his line up for easier victory and avoid injury? in soccer they do it a lot, especially a team have a tight schedule with regular league, a domestic tournament and continental tournament. in this league although they got 82 regular season games, plenty back-to-backs and even 5matches in 7 days, coaches still cant do it, why? only because this league is a star a** licking association? even the upmost paying customers like a great deal of the users in this forum do so -- star a** licking and blind themselves from other possibilities -- even the stars are without championship title and claim themselves they would do whatever for the title -- if you think sarcasm, i think exactly it is.
Harden would be the greatest 6th man ever if he came off the bench and allowed Jeremy Lin to shine. Harden would still get the same amount of minutes, why not?!
