All oversea fans are player only fans.
They don't care Houston as a city.

The Rockets should respect that and don't use preseason games as excuse.

Heck of a time for McHale to "experiment". I understand about testing the waters with Bev and all, but, you do that after the Asian trip when you get home!!!

He--and we--may not think to much of "experimenting with the pg position;" however how does he know that these other culture may not interpret it as an insult, a slap in the face.

Lin looked like he was trying to force a smile in those videos. He's either tired, or upset. He shouldn't be upset about not starting however I think he should be at least a little upset about not starting in one of the two games of this Asian tour, considering all the hype which is centered on him.

    Get real.

I'm raised in Hong Kong, never even been to America my whole life. I went to see Jeremy Lin when he came over to Hong Kong over the summer.

Just because you are a LOF, doesn't mean every person who doesn't live in Houston is one as well.

Good for McHale for not bending to any fan pressure. He is the coach and he will run his team how he damn well wants to.

Darn, Now I really feel bad for Mchale... he shouldn't have to answer those kind of questions... he did something ballsy, and we won... that should be the end of it...

Lin had a great game, that is what should be talked about in Taiwan...

Mchales problem now is how to get D Ho going at the start of the game...

The reason why they are in Asia is to promote nba .

    Lin is their god ....

Kevin has to start Lin !

Otherwise disrespect Lin and Asian nba fans .

You can experiment when you get home.

Lin is a superstar over there.

You have a point, but I think Rockets coaches are thinking that Indiana will be one of their toughest opponents and a great time to experiment on the line up... given the choice, would you do it in Philippines or Taiwan...

The whole purpose of the trip was to promote goodwill and basketball itself around the world (notice the commissioner was at the game in Manila????). The Rockets are goodwill ambassadors. If these ambassadors have effectually proceeded then to piss the other countries off then the purpose of the trip has failed, and so why come to Asia in the first place?

lol at "waiting for the team". They're waiting for the opposing team! :).

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>3am meant nothing to the 1000s of fans waiting for the team to arrive in Taiwan. <a href="https://twitter.com/dgranger33">@dgranger33</a> signed &amp; took photos. <a href="http://t.co/Xawf78rO1a">pic.twitter.com/Xawf78rO1a</a></p>&mdash; Indiana Pacers (@Pacers) <a href="https://twitter.com/Pacers/statuses/388405872587591681">October 10, 2013</a></blockquote>

If this happened in the US, it wouldn't have been as tragic.
There was just no respect nor consideration...

    Agree.

He could start Lin for 1 minutes and then let Bev. play major minutes with other starters.

    Bad decision.
