There is no such thing as a "true fan" except as arbitrarily defined in the minds of those who suppose that their own fandom is somehow more noble than that of others.

And people will respond to me with retorts that yes indeed there is such a thing; and their supporting evidence will be their own arbitrary definition along with some real-life examples of fans who meet their own arbitrary approval and fans who don't. The fact that there are already a couple of differing definitions on this thread should give you a clue.

Judging others, especially around something like sports fandom, is so dumb.

I'm basing it on reading 99% of the posts around here. It's pretty clear that almost everyone who consistently posts in this Texans forum actually watches the games. It's not really that complicated.

But you keep shaking those pom-poms, Swoly. Let the rest of us talk about what's wrong with the team when we lose, which is actually the whole point of this forum...

I think 2 out of those three people are Red Rowdies.

    Surprised, I am not.

When you say "TALK", do you mean starting threads to congratulate rival divisional teams and putting a fork in our own team before it is even the middle of the season?

60/40 is still heavily debated. The point is that a good portion of people on here questioned his decision-making

If you say "I predict the Colts will win." I'll say "Cool, we will prove you wrong." You have every right to act crazy and pretend you know the future because our team is playing badly, but... to congratulate their a$$ with just 5 games, WHAT THE ****, man?

GIVE UP, yes, joto... mister Nostradamus...

    Let's get back on topic

This rally for Schaub at his house is a great idea. I say we show up at 8pm tonight in honor of his number

His congratulations was a sarcastic way of making a prediction, Swoly.

8pm doesn't work for me, can we pick 6 pm instead?

That time works for me. I'll bring the guns to fire in the air during the rally.

STILL too early, bad taste... since we're hurtin' from the losses... and then to kick us while down... well... doesn't fit very well.

I don't get why fans who don't want Schaub starting for their favorite team are considered "band wagon" fans. If anything, they want the team to win despite who starts. In fact, you can argue that those supporting Schaub to keep starting are the ones who don't primarily care about the team's win/loss column.
